I am not keen on Hayley either. I don't feel any warmth or sincerity from her in anything she does. (I didn't like her in Emmerdale either and now she's spoiling Corrie for me too!).

I agree that Ray and Bonnie can be a bit cheesy but I feel they are warm sincere characters who are loving the experience. Ray wants to win but it doesn't feel as desperately needy to me from him as it does with Hayley.

I can't even comment on Sam because I just can't bear him! I was hoping it would be Sam and Suzanne bottom 2 simply to have a chance at Sam going out as he would have been saved over Beth or Bonnie whatever he did in the skate off!

To be fair, Hayley has been given a series of vote winning cheesy dance routines and has done really well , and looked right for them. They haven't made her pretend to be a ballerina , or act many emotions, so we don't know what she would look like trying. Nor is it her fault that she hasn't been given more difficult moves. She is doing bigger lifts and skating faster than she did in her own series - she's just not doing the lifts Suzanne, Bonnie and Beth have been given, or Suzanne's tricks. If they keep on giving her good dance routines, she's going to be difficult to stop, as she can easily out act Beth, and Suzanne can always make mistakes doing more difficult things. They could swap her routines with Suzanne's and take out the difficulty, to even things up - but they are unlikely to do that while Hayley can produce the effective dance numbers and Suzanne provides the wow factor.

Bonnie and Hayley are a bit similar, but Bonnie knew she wasn't a contender, and tends to play the role rather than be it.

All of the people who should get to the last 4 are very, very, competitive - either by nature or career training. I suspect realism has crept in with Sam, Kyran and Gareth. The others have something to play for - in terms of winning, being top female, and career wise.

It's telling that Hayley was voted through, but Beth, Susanne and Bonnie had to skate again. Does it subliminally suggest to the public that Hayley is 'top girl'?

I have a horrible feeling that from now on, we are going to see Hayley and Ray as the top two on the leaderboard every week (they started last week)

Why they favour her, I've no idea. Susanne and Beth are better skaters, and it's a skating competition?

I find Hayley very annoying!

I don't think she's anywhere near as good as Beth or Suzanne when it comes to actual skating. She's a bit like Lisa Riley was on Strictly - lots of side by side moves ( usually on toepicks) jazz hands and gurning for the camera. She's been given crowd pleasing showy routines without much content as the other girls have been given.

I didn't like her in her series, and like her even less in this one - but that said, she's less irritating than Sam is

I find Bonnie more irritating than Hayley. Perhaps she is a lovely person but she is always "ON", smiles, lovely comments and totally false. Typical stage school graduate!!

Soooo much I'd like to post on this subject BUT someone has a spy on here that reports back to Hayley anything I put so for now I'm saying nothing lol.

She's just so OTT don't like all that sickly stage school grinning. I wasn't keen on Beth at first but she really grew on my and she appears to me to skate so well. Suzanne I also like but atm doesn't seem her old self i.e. very slightly ungainly at times but feel she will improve on that. Bonnie is also a bit stage school but not annoying as she has such lovely moves. Haley to me is the chosen one and the other girls have aspects that are so much better, she gets routines which suit her strengths and style 100% imo.

I know where you guys are coming from and normally this would get on my moobs big time but I just cannot not like Hayley with her bubbly personality. I think she is sweet. Whereas Suzanne I do not like at all. Ray for the win though!

I liked Bonnie, but she was terribly cheesy as well. I can imagine both her and Hayley singing show tunes as they go about their daily business. "Don't Rain On My Parade" could be a shower number.

Oh and me too, I love Ray and Hayley and I just can't warm to Suzanne. Suzanne is all about headbangers now and not much else.

Robin commented on how badly she wanted to win the duel. In fact she seems desperate to win the whole thing, and I find desperation very off putting

It amuses me that tabloids and magazines accompany stories about celebrities' hell and heartaches with a photo of them smiling but in Hayley's case that's probably her real expression!

I never really got Hayley before but now I quite like her. It's not really her fault that she grew up in front of an audience and we can't possibly know what that does to a person, inside, apart from the fact that we can assume it can make a person competitive, fake, driven?

When I watched Hayley tonight, she seemed excellent in comparison to most of the others - she flew across the ice and her feet hardly seemed to touch the ground. She was spot on with her technique and performance, I was impressed.

Also, and nothing to do with the discussion,I'm quite liking her character in Corrie, she's funny, in yer face and annoying all at the same time.

I'm not voting for her just yet, I'm a big fan of Suzanne, but we'll see how it goes.

Before anyone just jumps straight down my throat, I am not saying any of this as if I'm stating facts but my second point on this post is just voicing my frustration at the blatant biased of some fans of this show.

I don't find her annoying at all. Has anyone even thought that maybe, just maybe, her cheesy grin shows that shes actually just enjoying herself and loving what she's doing and there's nothing wrong with that. Yes she's theatrical but shes done theatre for most of her life, she's not smug or over confident, she's just there enjoying herself and hoping she can do well.

Which is why I find it annoying that people criticize her like this but Ray (and Sam to some extent) gets away with being smug by people just dismissing it as "no, no! he's just confident and so he should be, he's likeable and Hayley is irritating." as if it's a fact. It can't be one rule for one and another rule for everyone else. It's down to opinion.

So again, I'm not trying to say anyone here is trying to act like their opinion is fact but I don't see why Hayley's cheesy grin is always pointed out as fake or annoying while you get shot down for saying Ray is smug?
