Wish Chris Fountain had been in it
How good would that have been and what a competition we would have had.

He probably wouldn't of had much backing from the public.

Chris is still my favourite ever DOI skater. Ray is excellent but, Chris had the skills to really challenge him.

More chance Jason wearing Leather Chaps and harness.

Didn't warm to his on-ice persona but I wouldn't mind seeing his skills again.

Such a shame he did that silly video.
Ray will win this & deservedly so but Chris could really have challenged him. And as they have different styles it would have been even more fascinating. |

Me too OP. I loved him on DOI and his Cry Me A River is still one of my favourite routines but I fear, much like Kyran and Sam, he would have been totally outclassed by Ray Quinn. That guy is a freakin' genius on ice.

c'mon guys Ray is hardly a humble likeable guy , i can't stand him . he is arrogant and thinks he is some kind of god. If Chris hadn't been silly and none of that had happened he would have been on the series most likely and would have been a contender , he was a brilliant skater yet still a bit rough around the edges.

I do too. He's the only one who could realistically present a challenge to Ray Quinn. Ray is still better, but Chris the only one who ever came close.

Ray is still streets ahead of Chris. There has never been another celeb skater to come close to Ray in terms of actual dancing on the ice, although quite a few of them are good skaters and good at tricks (including Chris). I doubt Chris Fountain's presence would make much difference to the eventual outcome, but the more good skaters in the show, the better.

Why is everyone so certain that Chris could have challenged Ray? Suzanne beat Chris and she isn't beating Ray so there is no reason to suppose that Chris would do any better.

I found Chris more exciting to watch than I do Ray, in that he was a little bit on the edge (literally).

The last time I saw Chris skate was during the tour immediately following Hayley's win.
Quite frankly, in terms of skating skill, he out-classed everyone including Ray (although admittedly Ray hadn't skated since the previous year's tour) and his performance/dance skills were light years ahead of where they'd been during his series. He looked in danger of leaving every other celeb in the dust - forget what you saw during the show - the Chris Fountain of that tour was a different beast altogether. I think he could well have won this comfortably. Shame we'll never know. |

In terms of the votes you have to factor in that Chris was in Hollyoaks when he did DOI which is a niche show compared to Corrie. ITV soap stars always do well in the votes regardless of how good they are and if they're any good like Matt Wolfenden then they walk it. I also think that Chris not winning his series would have helped him in the vote in some ways - people might think he deserved the glory this time rather than a previous champion. |

I think the fact Chris never won before & has improved would have worked in his favour. I also think Clare should have been on the show with Andrei but she wasn't even asked whereas it was understandable why Laura & Matthew didn't take part. |

He's probably too busy making videos about raping women to take part anyway
