Does anyone think that Ray has this show in the bag? I can't see anyone beating him, he is on top form every week and seems hard to beat!

In terms of skating ability, yes. I fear in a Ray v Hayley final two, she'll get the 'popularity' vote, which defeats the object in finding the champion of champions i.e. the best skater

Definitely on talent he has won already.
Sadly it may end up a "personality" contest ...which would be a travesty - Ray is amazing and deserves to win.
He really is the champion of champions.
He was fabulous tonight again.

I realise that Ray isn't a universal favourite, but from the comments I've seen here and elsewhere, Hayley can be pretty polarising too. I think it'll come down to the best skater on the day (and personally, I think Ray has been consistently the best skater, though I suppose that could change).

I think he'd won before he even put a blade on ice.

Unless he has some kind of spectacular disaster in the final, he will win and to be honest, if he doesn't, it will be an absolute travesty. He is by far the best skater DOI has ever produced whether you like him or not. He is in a completely different class to the others.

That is exactly it!

I really can't see any other outcome.

Nobody can be universally popular but I think Ray has enough popularity combined with the talent to see him triumph. Even many of those who find him a bit irritating off the ice (and I include myself in this) cannot deny that he is in a different class to everyone else.

imo he put Matt Evers in the shade tonight.

Oh I do hope so. With Bonnie and Zaraah both gone, Ray's the only one I'm going to look forward to see skate. He's so dynamic and exciting. The others are way behind.

Apart from their week one performance, I'm not really feeling Suzanne & Matt this time round. If that's Ray's closest competition then he should win by a landslide.

Ray gives the performance every week and is a the best. I am so disappointed with Suzanne this series, mind you never did think she should have won her series

I'd like to see Ray skate with Brianne, I think they'd really push each other. I think he outskates Maria.

I do sadly think that it's a competition for second place. When it comes to shows like this, I don't like it when one of the competitors is so much better than the rest. I think it makes the show boring. When there's two, three or more competitors who could win and it's difficult to call between them, I think it makes for a more exciting, entertaining show.

I agree to an extent. First time round, I never really got into Ray's routines as he was just a bit too good - having watched them on YouTube this week, I don't remember any of them in great detail. I feel totally different this time around - disappointing first performance (just a bit blah) Blurred Lines made me sit up and take notice and last week's Flamenco was outstanding. I have watched it a lot! Can't wait to see what he does next.

Besides, it would be crazy to have an "All Stars" series without him.

Ray won it as soon as he was announced in the line up.

So dull and predictable, but then having an "All Stars" line up without him would've been ridiculous - so the show was in a lose/lose situation.

Yes, I think Ray has won already. He is miles better than anyone else. Makes you realise how he has trained and learnt skills throughout his life. Appearing in a soap as a child, learnt ballroom dancing, skating and ballet to make himself an all-a-rounder in showbusiness. He can sing, act, skate, dance etc etc... He has really worked for his success and seems a really nice guy as well.

I don't find him in the least irritating, I think he comes across as a charming young man.

It's difficult really, I think Bonnie and Hayley seem nice but their OTT huge grins can be a bit offputting. I'm never sure why Beth is so popular, it can't be her rather dull personality.

Anyway, back to Ray, no-one else is in the same league - it will be a huge travesty if he doesn't win unless he actually injures himself or kills his partner in a spectacular accident!

No doubt that Ray is the best skater and he will win

Watching his routine I noticed he does not do any big lifts is this because of the height difference and that he cannot physically cannot lift Maria? That being the case why were they put together as it does mean they lose such a big element to the routines

With so much focus on lifts it is ironic that the best ever skater on DOI does not do lifts!

I'm not sure. He hasn't improved much since his series - neither has Suzanne.

I wouldn't rule out a Beth or Haley win!

I think the problem is, that this years DOI is just so predictable. We all know that Ray will in all probablity win the show, in a way its ashame that it is a one horse race.

However at the same time, Ray is that good, what can you do? when it gets to the stage where hes outskating the professionals as well as the celebrities you just got to hold your hands up.

He is simply just that good!

(by the way i agree with other peoples comments on Suzanne Shaw shes not been fantastic apart from the opening show)

I don't think anyone has it in the bag as even olympic finalists can fall or mess up on the ice.
Having said that I'm rooting for Ray all the way. He clearly enjoys skating and is the best dancer on the ice so far. His grin seems to come from the heart, he seems delighted to be there and looks like he's loving every moment. He can skate rings around anyone else including Suzzanne although I do like her and hope she does well.

Totally agree. He's like a proper old school variety act and I love that. Like a modern day Dick Van Dyke. I don't know if DVD can skate but I've definitely seen Dr Mark Sloan rollerblading! 😁

I don't find the fact that he's so much better than everyone else boring at all. He's the reason I'm watching. It would be far more boring without him, as far as I'm concerned. As someone said above, he clearly works hard at everything he does to achieve excellence but it's more than that - he is extraordinarily talented. An innate flair for dancing is not something that can be learned, and it's a joy to watch. I don't care if he doesn't do much in the way of lifts. They become commonplace and boring when everyone is doing them. Ray can impress and entertain by doing actual dancing on ice, and by doing 'tricks' that the other contestants couldn't do.

I hope Ray wins, he is fantastic and you know when it's his turn he will impress. I can understand the people who say he is annoying though as when he was first on telly he was a bit of a brat but he's matured into a nice guy imo.

I would love to see him get his chest out before the series ends. He looks to have a great physique! *shallow mode off*
