I totally agree.

He will win because he is the best skater. But we british public love an underdog so Hayley might whip it from under him. I see those two as the final two.

They need a bit of imagination - giving him jumps every week is getting to look very familiar. It may lose wow factor by the final.

On the other hand, Suzanne still hasn't been given a good routine to use again in the final since week one, and they seem to want her out. Sam seems doomed, and Kyran isn't competitive with Ray and isn't even being allowed to do the tricks he can do. Beth has the underdog story going for her, but they seem to want to have Hayley in the final two.

Hayley v Ray would be the most lopsided final since Hayley's own. Ray can match her on dancing and acting, and she's the weakest female for doing tricks to try and match anything he can put up.

The only options left for them to produce something that doesn't look like a walk over are to get Suzanne back into the race and let Beth really take off as the fighting under dog. But they seem to have upped the hype on Hayley instead.

Course he has but where the others are improving all he will be doing is more and more jumps and lifts.

Gonna get boring

I won't be bored, I could watch Ray skate all day but then I love to watch great ice-skating. I hope he wins.

If he continues to be over marked he is a cert for the final.

He was better than Hayley, so if she gets 9.5's they could only give him 10's. It was Hayley that was over marked, there was nothing 'wow' about her routine, nothing she hasn't done before.

Hayley was overmarked, she is being scored on her acting ability not on her skating. 9.5 for that routine was ridiculous. The judges had nowhere to go and had to give Ray 10's because it was easily the best routine of the night.

Ray is fantastic & I'm sure he will rightly win.

However he can do split jumps in his sleep. I'd like to see him try some proper figure skating jumps in the final weeks. Don't know if he's been practising them but I'm sure he's capable.

I feel increasingly like its time for the scene in The Untouchables movie where the judge sends the rigged jury trying Al Capone to another court, and brings in another untarnished jury from a divorce trial.

Changing the judges might take it a bit far, but its certainly time to change the names on the choreography around , or let them draw straws for it. I have seen Suzanne, Bonnie and Hayley act on a stage, and we have all seen what Beth can do on better acting themes for her, and any of them could have acted Hayley's routine tonight. Beth and Suzanne could skate it all, and you would need a stop watch on it to work out if if it was too fast for Bonnie.

It's not boring watching someone who always gives 100%. I think Hayley's a close contender but the rest of them are nowhere near his standard.

Regardless of how he is marked by the judges, he is a cert for the final. How could he not be? He's head and shoulders above the rest.

I enjoyed his routine the most last night - very glad he included a lift just to silence his doubters! Sam and Kyran can do the lifts and are skilled skaters but only Kyran (I think) can do jumps. Kyran has the power but I don't personally find him as entertaining to watch. I like both Hayley and Suzanne - although last night Hayley was the better of the two. Neither Sam nor Beth keep my attention in the same way as the others do.
The thing with Ray is he makes it look so effortless - like Jason said you almost forget he is on ice. It must be hard for him to keep coming up with that standard (everyone takes it for granted he will) I just hope he keeps enjoying it as well.
I hope he wins, he definitely deserves to. Of those left I actually don't mind too much which two make the final three with him but would prefer it to be Hayley and Suzanne.

Ray is the best technical skater and if this was a solo performance competition he should walk it.

However this is a dance show and he doesn't really dance with Maria. He skates like it's all about him and she's just an extra.

Ice dancing is all about the man making his female partner look good but his performances are more about him showing off with no real connection with Maria.

When I watch him it's like he's just showing off some tricks on his own rather than dancing with a partner and that's my problem with him in the context of the show.

I suspect the public will choose a winning couple rather than a skilled solo performer.

Sorry but I totally disagree with this. He absolutely dances with Maria - did you not see their Flamenco? Robin always comments on the way Ray presents Maria too! Ray is not "showing off" - he is dancing the choreography he is given to the best of his ability! So whilst I totally disagree with your view your problem should not be with Ray it should be with Chris Deans choreography surely?

Just to add - a routine with so many jumps couldn't be done with a partner - he could only do them separately

Just watched last nights Dancing on Ice.
Ray fabulous again!
He is an amazing ice dancer - and he and Maria are a great partnership. How anyone can say they dont "dance together" is beyond me. They are so similar to Torville and Dean in style and if you watched their dance last night - lots of it is apart - and lots together - but the connection between them is always there - just like Ray and Maria.
I wasnt overly keen on any of the 80's routines...and some of the wigs were ridiculous....
Ray to win!

Ray and Beth are my top 2, although I do like Hayley and Suzanne but Hayley's routine was the 'easiest' of the night, yet she got 9.5 Why, I just don't understand? 0.5 between her and Ray is an insult to him and to us viewers. Yes, she performed her routine well but it was all about her being carried, even the lifts weren't that spectacular.

Oh well, back to the Olympics tomorrow hopefully.

Ray and Maria talking about this weeks routine. They are skating to a slow number which they choreographed themselves for duel week and which they never got to skate. This should please those who think he can only do fast routines and really show his versatility and showcase his elegance grace and musicality.

Sounds interesting and we will see what he would chose himself do given the chance.

Sounds a bit odd too though. If he is redoing his duel week second routine he will have had two weeks to work it up while those who lost the duels will have to do something new?

Seems from Hayley's Twitter that her and Dan are skating to a Sam Bailey track tonight and it is the one they choreographed themselves too so not just Ray doing that! Guess Kyran might do the same. So both Hayley and Ray doing slow routines they have choreographed themselves.
