Kyran v Sam
I think Sam needs to buck up his ideas if he wants to stay in this competition. I always get the feeling that there is an arrogance to him that gives off an air of being better than the others skaters. It therefore pleased me immensely last night that Kyran out skated Sam and was the worthy winner of the duel.

Really? The only air that he gives off these days is of someone who is completely smitten with his pro partner.

I agree with you OP.
First time round, I thought he was good but then he started getting cocky and I went right off him. I wanted Laura to win in the final. I think he is very arrogant. He really thinks he's great and can't understand why he keeps ending up in the skate off. He clearly hasn't got the popular vote and there's a reason for that. I also think you can see he is gutted, totally gutted, that Ray Quinn is better than him and getting the praise he thinks he deserves. As for his fiancée, I give that two years max if they even make it up the isle! |

I think Kyran is way out his depth, wooden and robotic, I would have sent him packing last week.

Kyran has definitely been overtaken by some of his male counterparts. It just all looks a bit basic now. Shame really as I loved his series 😕

He's strong but he's clunky. A bit of a carthorse. He's no dancer, that's for sure.

Gareth, runner up in Pop Idol, has done many musical theatre shows including a west end run as the lead in Joseph and his Amazing Techni Coloured Dreamcoat as well as concerts galore. Ray Quinn, again runner up in X Factor, went on to star as the lead in Grease in the West End as well as having a lead role in the touring production of Dirty Dancing and Legally Blonde amongst many other singing and dancing roles. Sam Attwater another West End performer, stared in Dreamboats & Petticoats after which he was in the UK tour of The Rocky Horror Show and is currently singing and dancing in the UK tour of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers – where is plays the male lead. Taking all the above into consideration, I would say that Kyran is doing exceptionally well keeping up with all of the other male celebs. |

If you look at all the other male celeb skaters they are all entertainers used to singing and dancing for their livings.

Yes, he is at a disadvantage in that respect, but at an advantage in the respect of being an athlete. The fact that most of the best contestants are good dancers rather than good athletes tells us that what the viewers want to see is artistry, rather than speed and power.
I love watching Ray and believe that he will win this competition hands down but for me Kyran has more charisma than both Sam and Gareth and there is a twinkle in his eye (maybe as an older contender he appeals to an 'older' woman) therefore if I was given the choice he would come above Sam and Gareth every time.

Sam completely out-skated Kyran and should have won that Duel. Sam's technical skating seemed better too, so was surprised with how Karen and Robin voted.
I don't think he's coming across bad either. Out of all the celebs to me he seems the most 'real' .. of course he's going to be a bit upset by being in the skate off. The others are far more competitive than him but hide it well..! |

For me there is no wow factor with Sam's skating it's all just a bit 'nice'.
I agreed with the judges comments about Sam's facial expressions too - I thought Kyran was the better actor in that duel. He's no dancer but if he gets routines with a bit of character/story he can perform those well. Great to see the flip jump too - hope he does go for an axel in the next couple of weeks. |

agree OP
I didnt like Same when he skated with Brianne (fake romance aside) and I dont like him with Vicky either, which is a shame as I think Vicky is lovely Sam, to me, comes across as cocky, arrogent and very self assured - he appears put out when the judges dont praise his skating and seems to think he is the golden boy |

Indeed. Stand him in a forest and you would struggle to find him; even the tress would have more charisma. |

I don't dislike Sam or Kyran and neither come across to me as arrogant. Rather, they are both quite passionate to do well and not get voted off the show.
I find it easy to compare the two of them to Beth and Hayley. Kyran/Beth probably the best technical skaters, while Sam/Hayley were the better performers, and for me, the latter 2 were far more entertaining to watch. |

He seems a really nice bloke who puts his all into things to me. Kyran was pretty good in the duel although I thought he looked very unstable in at least one of the tricks. As the weeks go by, I'm more convinced that Karen will never vote him off because he made her the star in one of his shows.

I liked Sam with Brianne... but this year him and Vicky (Sicky
) are seriously rubbing their romance in our faces and it's not what people watch for.
