I've had my tickets for a Birmingham since October - or whenever it was they same out! I've seen nothing about which celebrities will be on it yet,has anything been announced yet?

I'm secretly hoping some past contestants that are not on the show this year will be on it

It would be interesting to see if that would work. IMO, the very act of being on the show again has made the past champions, and everyone else, much better.

I realise that being on the tour helps them all to progress, especially with speed and generally becoming a more solid skater, but they could find themselves a bit behind by comparison.

They usually only have eight celebrities on tour. I doubt whether they would have past celebrities on tour as I am sure eight of those on the show currently will be available. Of the final eight in the show I guess Hayley may not be available for all shows depending on her work commitment with Corrie and maybe Gareth and Sam could be problematic for all shows depending on when tours etc finish but I would guess they will have Todd back on tour too especially for the pro partnership of Lucasz and Alex. So not sure there is any room for past contestants and it would probably undermine the current series too in terms of selling it as the best of the best!

It is annoying that you have to get the tickets before you even know who'll be performing, although Ray would be a safe bet!

I wonder when they'll let us know. I am hoping Bonnie will be but it said on This Morning that she was going back to Spamalot so I guess it's unlikely

I read something about it being the final 7, but not sure if that means it was only the final 7 guaranteed, with the producers picking someone else of their choice.

Usually we've heard three or four names by now, but generally they are the better ones and the higher profile ones, with room to add anyone else who turns out to be good or popular enough. It would be weird this year to pick just some of them, with there being several past champions, and everyone being fairly high profile in the first place.

I'd be surprised if any people not doing the TV show this year would be on tour. The TV show is in a way a 10 week advert for the tour.

Don't know about the skaters, but I'd rather have Andi Peters compering than T and D...

The first four celebs for the tour have just been announced! They are RAY, HAYLEY, KYRAN and JOE PASQUALE! It also looks as if there will be eight celebs in total.

First three judges also announced - ROBIN, KAREN and NICKY SLATER!

As long as Beth, Sam and Suzanne are also in the line up, I'm not too bothered about Joe. Hopefully, Zaraah fills the eighth spot.

They usually have four of each gender so I am assuming one more male and three females? The tour of Seven Brides clashes with the tour so if Sam is continuing in that I doubt he will available for the DOI Tour though. Interesting they have three skating experts on the panel.

Really pleased with that first announcement. I love Joe so very chuffed that he is touring, and I'd rather see him than Todd as he hasn't been on a DOI tour before! The rest of the line-up looks very solid as well.

Oh no, I had a horrible feeling they's have a "joke" contestant instead of one of the better skaters. At least I have been saved from Todd being the joke one, I do prefer Joe BUT I want to see the good skaters!!!

I always found him incredibly tedious, and thought it odd that they seemed so keen to push Joe, and shocked to see him go. I bet they thought he'd last longer, and had already got him to sign up.

What's he going to skate? The one routine that failed to get him votes, and the one he repeated in the skate-off that we'd already seen before?

I did think that as Joe & Todd went out early that they wouldn't be on tour but obviously wrong on that. Am hoping that we don't get Todd as well.

I think the remaining skaters will be Suzanne, Beth, Zaraah & Gareth.

I think you could be right on most of your predictions, other than Gareth will be doing the big reunion stuff still possibly, so could be Sam. Plus his missus is there too!

Think Sam will still be on tour with Seven Brides for Seven Brothers when the DOI tour is on as it doesn't end til mid May unless they release him early.

I think Gareth Gates will probably be on the tour... there's no guarantee of a Big Reunion tour this year, and even if there is, last year's didn't start until May, so he could potentially do both.

That said, a part of me hopes that if another male celebrity is added that it's Todd. That would serve the people who moan about Sam week in week out right!

Has anyone actually confirmed that Vicky is doing the tour? Even if she does, there could be an outside chance that she may skate with Joe again.

I for one am praying it is Todd. Even though I do not go to these shows which see TV shows do arenas.

So he can't skate. We can't all be perfect. Dancing on Ice has I think played with fire in as much as it has carried a subliminal message that says being perfect is the most important thing. As someone who is somewhat bereft in the talent department I have got that impression. This why I think that..

1. Jason's most barbed disparaging remarks have been reserved for the entertainers.

2. The wardrobe department have dressed them up like clowns.

3. I don't think they were helped in training any more than the better ones despite needing more assistance. And in fact I think the likes of Ray Quinn and Suzanne Shaw have become so good so quickly in the end I have come to question whether they needed help in training in the first okace and think they could have become this good without it and so I believe they took valuable attention from the likes of Joe, Keith (Chegwin) and Todd Carty.

Like it or not Todd at the least he proved you don't have to be perfect all the time at everything. Just take part and enjoy it.

If you don't go to these shows, why pray for him to be inflicted on us who do!

I have paid nearly £100 for 2 tickets (treating my mum) and it's disappointing to spend that amount of money on something when you're not going to enjoy all of it.

You mean Gates and not Thomas?

Yes. Though I would have really liked it if Gareth Thomas had done this series & the tour, especially after the way he left the show last year.
