I wondered this and there actually was one on DWTS! Theme and all!

Has anyone got any celeb specific songs for certain dances? Maybe Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting for a jive for Frankie?

Edit: btw a quick little tip for thinking about songs - for it to be a waltz/vw you need to be able to count "one two three one two three" to the beats of the music. If you can count "one two three four" then there's no way you could dance a waltz to it
Agree with your tips for counting time, and they are correct. However, one year they gave poor Brendan a waltz to dance, but it was foxtrot timing. Unbelieveable. He coped with it, in the way a Pro can.

There are already some to be found in the training/dances thread.

But I do have some more ideas:

Frankie - Quickstep to Frankie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Tl-c_puzbM

Gregg - AS to China in your hand http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSh6SQd8UrI

Steve - Paso to Eye of the tiger http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=btPJPFnesV4

Alison - Cha Cha Cha to Big Girl http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yDSK91mUNLU

Sunetra - Tango to Narcotic http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0JSXCfGWjqA

I can't believe Brendan just had to soldier on. If he couldn't point out to the production team that the song they'd given him was in the wrong time signature then maybe James Jordan has a point. Bit beyond a silly theme or a slightly inappropriate song though!

It's like trying to claim that the grass is blue and the sky is green. :/

Was it the waltz he did with Michelle Williams? I'm not sure if I know the song (looking at wiki) but if it's the one I'm thinking that's not in 3/4.

Charleston - "Bad Romance" by Caro Emerald

AT/Tango - "I Need to Know" by Marc Anthony (probably more of an AT)

Foxtrot/AS - "Man For All Seasons" by Robbie Williams (Johnny English theme)

Hail Rain or Sunshine by The Script for Jennifer and Tristian, as it's from Mrs. Brown's Boys D'Movie?

Couple of songs I thought would have been used by now.

Bleeding Love for a Rumba. Maybe Simon has some say on that?

If You Let Me Stay for a Samba. Terence Trent D'Arby

Have always loved the idea of Aqualung Strange & Beautiful for a Waltz https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5MVS5njkx6U

Also, for a VW, Complainte de la Butte by Rufus Wainwright https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M2933uG2GGA

I think there's more conflict going on than we know. I certainly suspect the pros used to have considerably more input than they do now. Do you remember Louisa Lytton being allowed to choose a song? That would never happen now. I also remember Karen Hardy being told off by the judges for choosing a track too difficult for Mark to foxtrot to. Yet there have been song choices in the past few years that no professional dancer would choose.

I remember the waltz in foxtrot timing. Unbelievable. They should allow the experts to choose the music. It's not helping the celebs learn at all.

That was what Tina O'Brien would have danced to in the week where she had chicken pox, if I remember correctly.

It seems odd that it hasn't been used. I think it should work very well.

How has this never been used for a cha cha?

Btw strange and beautiful is a GORGEOUS song. Never realised you could waltz to it before... excellent choice.

I'm sure I read somewhere that would have been Stephanie & Vincent's CCC song.

In other news, Your Love is King by Sade would make a perfect Rumba but I don't think it's ever been used.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I would like someone to dance to the 'Allo' Allo'' theme tune. It would make a nice Waltz in my opinion.
