These half hours are really well written and acted. That was a great episode.

That was charming, er wait!

Meh. Tonight's episode was a bit of a let down for me.

Felt a bit flat that one, compared to the others.

Weakest episode so far.

It wasn't bad. But it was my least favourite episode out of the four.
It felt lacking compared to the others.

I'm sure that someone said it was going to be a really funny episode, so I was expecting it to be about as good as episode 2. But I didn't think it was that funny. Just mildly amusing like any old standard BBC sitcom.

A bit like the balloon itself: an overblown idea that was just a little too pleased with its own cleverness...

Yep it didn't really work.

I liked the woman in Black Book's character though (can't remember her name)

And why was Reece not in it?

Not sure what I thought about this one.

I knew they were going to end up without the balloon, but I thought the little girl was going to pop it.

I just thought well, is that it!

Meh

It peaked too soon

Have to agree with the general feeling of meh about that one.

At least we know what happen to Deirdre Barlow's old glasses anyway!

That was great...pitch black comedy.

tonight's was my favourite so far. Spoke volumes about how society's values are being eroded by the love of money and worship of fame. A modern day morality tale that for me worked perfectly. Tamsin Greig was perfection too. Such a quality series.

I liked Steve's jersey - nice shade of blue.

I thought it was a very clever premise, and horribly true to modern life.

The quality of the actors they're getting on these shows is amazing.

That's very true! We even had the father photographing the dead pop star on his phone and at the end, when the balloon floated away, "Quick, film it - it's all we've got".

(Actually, the balloon floating away didn't really matter as they'd already had the idea to blow up the other purple balloons.)

That was my immediate thought, why worry about that balloon as they've got 2 more?

that was brilliant , so well written , unfortunately I think many of us were expecting another big twist at the end , but it didn't really need it , there were so many good ideas in there .

I thought last night's episode was a total anticlimax. Worst one yet.

I've loved this series but I didn't enjoy last night's. It didn't seem very original.

I didn't enjoy this one much either. It was well acted and Tamsin Greig in particular was great but it lacked something - and I don't mean Reece Shearsmith (although...). It didn't even make me smile let alone laugh and wasn't dark enough to make me think either, like last week's.

The selling-the-balloon-on-ebay thing reminded me too much of the Psychoville beanie baby storyline - which was my least favourite thing about Psychoville.

It wasn't bad, it just felt like filler in the series.

really ?

I thought it was very original , has this idea been done before ? a celeb's last breath caught in a balloon - ?

I really enjoyed this. Are people disappointed that there was no "twist"? I imagine this is why Reece was a bit defensive last week about not every episode having a twist. This didn't need one - it was well written, impeccably acted and told a wonderfully dark and intelligent story.

My only caveat is that the WishUK woman and the father were so distressed at the loss of the balloon. They already had backup plans to inflate more and pass them off as the real deal.

I enjoyed it, especially the performance from Tasmin Grieg but it was very lightweight (the balloon motif was perfect) and the ending was an anti-climax and hardly a sting in the tail. 6/10.
