They did say that there wasn't a twist in all of them, so I think it is more people's expectations that led them to be disappointed in this one.

I include myself in that - I was pretty sure that there wouldn't be a twist as such, but after last week's almost perfect piece of TV, it was always going to be difficult to even match it, never mind surpass it.

It was still a great piece of TV, and it is only because the first 3 were sublime, that this one felt as thought it fell a bit short, but I don't suppose it did, really. It was good stuff with a lot to say about today's culture - and agree with everyone that Tamsin Grieg stole the show - I don't think that I ever seen her put in a poor performance ( love her in Friday Night Dinner - one of my favourite new recent comedy shows)

While it was great to see the lovely Tamsin Grieg I thought this week's episode was the least enjoyable so far.

I get the idea of the greed of selling celebrity tat on eBay but for me it just didn't really work.

While it was easily the weakest of the four, so far, it was still more interesting than anything else on all week (let's be honest!). The first half was pretty good but then nothing much happened in the second... I wonder if they were going to take it a certain way but then either couldn't or didn't dare.

Maybe, because it was Sophie Thompson playing the mother, I was expecting her to be doing something dodgy with the daughter (she was cruel to the kid when she was in Eastenders) or the whole thing was a scam, but then that would have been boring and pointless.

The best moment was when Tamsin Greig's character was talking about the little girl who wanted to be a postman...

I also thought it was brilliant and was true to life with the photoing the dead celeb

I was expecting a twist to come from the video camera picking something up, maybe the girl having done something to the balloon.

Agree with most that it wasn't as good as previous weeks but as someone else has said it's still better than most things on TV.

I think if this had been on first in the series most people would have a different reaction

It was ok but I was a little underwhelmed. But nothing was going to beat Miggs episode, that was perfect! I enjoyed the twist element of the other 2 eps. For me the eps in order from my favourite to least favourite is 3,1,2,4.

I liked it, but i felt very unsatisfied at the end. Definitely the weakest in an excellent series so far.

I enjoyed this episode but it wasn't dark enough for me, even though they were trying to make money out of a person's last breath. When they all looked up at the window I expected the little girl to fall out with the balloon and see them all trying to catch the balloon and not the girl. Still I suppose the ending was unexpected, by me at least!

They would not have gotten away with it anyhow. The cause of death would easily be found as suffocation by any coroner worth his salt.

I agree with the general consensus that episode 4 was the weakest so far.

It was decent enough in isolation, but set against the excellence of the first three episodes, this latest one falls down a bit.

I might be remembering wrong, as I only saw it once (and apologies for not reading back over the thread to check), but didn't Migg hear and then delete Geri's answer phone message when Tom wasn't there?

What was the point of the ending? The balloon flies off, so what? It was pointed out that they had two identical balloons they were going to try to sell.

I think it was the little girls wish that his last breath went up to heaven.

It was not nice what she saw plus the people were from a 'Make A Wish' company so that was my take on it.

I thought it was sad but sweet of her.

It is confusing why they went to the trouble of ensuring that we knew that there was an alternative means to make money from the other balloons.
Once they've put that idea into our heads it kind of destroys the impact of its own ending.

I thought the ending was rather neat and it's disappointing that it has been so badly received.
It seems the one "twist" that fans of "dark comedy" won't accept is a twist towards the positive and heart-warming!

I read it a the 'twist' was the little girl didn't know how long she had left, But in her mind she gave up the money for disney land for the celeb who was nice to her. She sent his balloon and breath off with a heart balloon to heaven

I think you lot are right, that it was her wish to get his last breath to Heaven as Tam Tam said she thought it was her fault because she told him to blow up the balloon and was worried he wouldn't go there, so it makes sense she got out of the wheelchair and went all that way to make sure.

I also think it was to highlight that, for the whole episode her wants were ignored even though it was supposed to be her birthday and her wish, everyone was selfishly focusing on themselves, like when the Dad told her to go to the toilet and she was yelling she didn't want to and the Mum told her how to act on camera.

I loved this episode, watched it twice as I thought it was so original and fresh, great work with a small cast as well & some hilarious jokes. There wasn't a twist though. It was obvious something was going to happen to the balloon but we didn't know what. That's what made it a bit flat compered to the others.

What didn't sit well was that a child that age would have been interested in the music of a middle aged, easy listening singer let alone want a home visit from him. Tamsin Greig didn't have One Direction's 's number I take it. No wonder Tam Tam was so p'd off about the whole thing.

A small point but Tamsin the star and Tamsin the little girl. Are there not enough names to go round? Similarly I always feel when a character is played by an actor that has the same name that it wouldn't affect the programme to use a different one. Just one of my little foibles!

Yea the whole episode was about a sick girls visit but non of the people involved were bothered about her, They were all in it for what they could get. The mother even said to the daughter 'frankie parsons in my house. this was going to be my day' or something. Basically the daughter was just the means to get him there.

Yup. It was. I liked how they made a point of showing the Mum check her appearance in the mirror literally focusing on herself, while you can see a One Direction poster on the wall. She got was excited & had nervous flutters when he arrived while Tam Tam just sat in bed motionless as Frankie fan-fared his way into the room, she didn't care. Tamsin's character said, the wishes made the children really happy which is point of them being there so Tam Tam not being happy must have some relevance.

This is why this show rocks, it is extremely clever &thoughtful in it's writing.

Yes, that appears to be the case.
They all had their own agendas and it appears that although the mother wasn't obsessed with money like the others, Getting Frankie Parsons into her house was her agenda. You could tell she was a superfan when she was playing his record when she and the company sidekick were in the living room.

My least favourite of the four episodes, but it did have some good things going for it.
