Luke Pasqualino seems to be popping up a lot recently, what this and Musketeers.

I enjoyed that. Really well acted and funny with a dark twist. Looking forward to next week's episode.

I really enjoyed it. A great cast. And the ending was very grisly!

I really liked that.
II was a big fan of 'League of Gentlemen' and 'Psychoville' and this didn't disappoint. That final scene with 'Pip' was horribly creepy. The only gripe I have is that it seemed too short. They could easily have padded it out a bit and made it longer. |

I'm still laughing at parts of it, well done to the writers.

Very clever strong start for this series. Wonderful cast. Hope the next one is equally as good. The calibre of acting in one small space.

I would like to watch this again.
At first I did wonder what the hell is this, but I began to enjoy it. I was amused by Stinky John and their reluctance to have him in the wardrobe. And I cackled when they were being told to get out from under the bed and Reece said it was like the diary of Anne Frank. The ending was a bit of a shocker, considering I had just been laughing moments before. I'm a big fan of Steve and Reece and look forward to watching the next one. |

I enjoyed it very much - a real 'slow burn' and that ending was an excellent sting in the take.

That was the first thing on TV that's made me laugh out loud in ages.
Simple, and brilliant. |

Brilliant, I really enjoyed this.
I was surprised back in the day when LoG was described as 'dark' as that had never occurred to me (which probably says a lot about me!) However, I wouldn't hesitate to describe this as very dark! |

That was quality...and such a stellar cast. Looking forward to the coming episodes now that's whetted my appetite.

Excellent. Shearsmith and Pemberton can apparently do no wrong.
I had to google who Ian was as he was familiar but I couldn't place him. Partridge's Sidekick Simon no less, a slightly different role! Well played sir. |

I thought the show was great, it became funnier as the plot and characters developed.

Judging by some clips of next weeks episode, it looks like it's going to feature

I loved it! It's great to see something so refreshingly different. Very 'Tales of the Unexpected' as has already been said. Reece and Steve should be applauded as this is one of the best episodes of anything they've ever done!
Tim Key ('boring' Ian) continues to impress. He's a really good subtle actor. In fact, all the cast worked well. Lots of talent in this episode. Too much, actually! It could have done with being 40 minutes just to give a couple of the characters a bit more to say. Though maybe that wasn't the point. Roll on next week's! |

I thought that was one of the best things I have seen on TV for some time. It was extremely funny, original and very dark. If I have one niggle, it's that they took the line 'BITCH! (pause) that was misjudged' directly from a line Martin says to Kate in the second series of Benidorm.

Absolutely loved it, I actually endured 'Mrs Browns boys' before that and it restored my belief that us Brits do have a brilliant sense of humour.

I haven't seen it yet but recorded it and am looking forward to watching it.
I thought I would look at the thread with half shut eyes (to avoid spoilers) just to get a feel for how others felt about it. What is weird is that most of those who posted while watching were quite negative towards it but all of those who posted after it liked it. Maybe there is a lesson to be learnt ie why don't you watch the whole of a program before making sweeping comments. Who knows, by actually concentrating on the prog you may appreciate the less in your face aspects of the it. On the other hand maybe most people who don't like a show after watching choose not to post. I think the former. I am not saying it is impossible to post on a forum and watch the program at the same time but it just seems a strange way to enjoy something which may have more subtleties than say CBB or other reality progs. |
