I see it get some hate on here and other sites but I actually did not mind it. I liked most of the newbies bar maybe Keith and Adam, and hated seeing people like Cassi and Dom going so early as they had potential to be good housemates.

My man problem with the season is I felt production was helping the vets (mainly Jeff and Jordan) to win; I mean the stupid Pandora's Box in the final 6 was a terrible twist and reek of multiplication from production scared that Jordan was going to be evicted so soon after golden boy Jeff was evicted.

I think it had some good moments:-

Danielle flipping to the newbie side and getting caught
Lawon and his "Special Powers"
Shelly back stabbing Jeff and Jordan

All memorable moments.

What is your view on the season?

I actually liked it a lot. I liked how everything played out in the beginning with the vets and newbies and then the split when Daniele flipped and got caught. At least this way there were 2 definite sides so you knew who you could root for in the competitions unlike the last season where everything had to be in agreement with what the majority of the house wanted and everyone was too afraid to create sides.

The pandora's box was thrown in at the exact moment purely to save Rachel and Jordan and could never be anything other than that. I actually watched the live feeds and Porsche didn't want to take the money because she knew she was already in a good position in the house, but she later told Kalia that production told her she had to take the money and accept the consequences.

Overall my favourite housemates were Daniele, Kalia, Shelly and Rachel. Didn't like any of the guys at all.

I loved it right up until the final six - Pandora's Box.

I wasn't sure how I felt about the duo twist at the start. I felt it was a bit of a pain, but I accept that everyone was on the same level playing field and it offered something different to the game (I've only watched the show since series 12, so not sure if it's been done before).

The vets pretty much dominated the game and that wasn't really helped by Brendon coming back after it was already an uphill battle to knock their alliance down. However, once the tables turned on the double eviction night, the powers that be didn't like it and completely RIGGED the friggin' game.

What is the point in having a game that is played out by the producers rather than the contestants themselves?! I HATE Pandora's Box for anyone and any series. It just screams of the producers wanting the power to decide what happens next instead of allowing it to play out naturally, but Porsche's Pandora's Box was an absolute farce. Then, they play the exact same competition for Veto as they played for HOH in week one - and guess who won the first time? Yep, Rachel. Then, for the next HOH, they're back in that gunge competition that was played in the Have/Have Not competition - which Rachel and Brendon won, by the way.

I loved Rachel in series 12, so I was excited for her return and supported her, but after that, I went straight off her and wanted Jordan and herself to be evicted as soon as possible. Not their fault, of course, but I just love to see a plan blow up in the producer's face. I can't give any credit to Rachel for winning the series because she was helped so much after the double eviction and I genuinely believe the final six would've ended very differently had the producers not have been pricks.

Apart from that, loved Daniele. Kalia was good but putting Lawon up was one of the most stupid things I have ever seen. Julie only said "has a chance to come back" not that they WILL come back - I don't know why Daniele didn't put up more of a fight against Kalia making that move. Maybe she did, but I didn't watch much live feed back then.

The double eviction (despite Daniele leaving) was brilliant. Daniele got into Shelly's ear and made her switch sides, then Kalia and Porsche dominated the competitions, including the new HOH after Jeff had left.

To be honest, I found the veterans (except Daniele) to be very entitled and immature. Every time the game wasn't going the way they wanted it to go, they spat their dummy out and cried about how everyone but themselves suck at the game.

Dominic and Cassi left far too early; I have no idea why Jordan put Cassi up when they clearly got on and she (Jordan) knew exactly what was going on with everyone turning on Cassi. Spineless.

Oh, I missed something. Just returning to the duo twist, I think it would've been much better game play to have the singles pair up rather than receive a golden key. For example, once Dick left, Daniele is immune from the next eviction as she's not paired up any more. Once Keith's evicted, Porsche and Daniele are forced to team up by default as neither have a partner, and so on until the final 10/twist was over. Four weeks immunity is crazy, so I didn't like that aspect at all.

I think my idea would've added an extra layer onto how everyone plays the game, especially the HOH.


Pathetic

If that is true about Porsche being made to do the Pandora's Box then that is disgusting. I mean at the time I wanted Porsche to win over Rachel because of that twist, but looking back Rachel had calmed down towards the end and when Jordan was being a bitch when Jeff left Rachel showed she could be a decent person and not this over the top woman she keeps portraying on Big Brother and the Amazing Race; at least she is not boring and she is a comp beast.

Interesting to see how the game might off played out if not for the final 6 twist. Jordan would have gone at final 6, and then Kalia/Shelly would have probably gone at five, and then at final 4 with no Jordan to evict, Rachel would have gone; leaving Porsche vs Shelly/Kalia in the final 2.

The final six would've been completely different if it wasn't for Pandora's Box/Veto competition; hanging off a banana in week one, then hanging off a person? What a joke, they didn't even try to hide the manipulation that week.

One of Jordan or Rachel would've left in sixth, because both of 'em wouldn't be saved at Veto, then the survivor and Adam would've been targeted next, had one of Kalia or Shelly won the next HOH.

I absolutely love how Rachel plays the game. She tells you all where you stand (whether it's with or against her), she draws the line and she goes to war and tries to win every competition going. That's exactly the sort of game I love to see. However, I couldn't support her once the producers pulled several moves to keep her (and Jordan) in the game at final six.

It's like playing Monopoly. You play for hours and hours, yet someone is cheating by taking several more notes than they should when they pass go. What's the point? Why are we investing our time playing/watching a game that is skewed?

I just don't get it. I'd rather see my favourites leave the game fairly than have the producers keep them in by making up some last minute twist. It's pathetic and the game becomes void, for me.

Again from the feeds, Daniele was totally against it and her strategy was actually to evict Rachel so that if she was going to go up against Brendon (which Daniele worked out instantly when Julie told them there would be a twist), at least they both wouldn't be back. They were convinced by the producers in the diary room that the twist was something completely different which is what made Daniele change her mind and be fine with Kalia's decision.

The series is a bigger farce than I first thought

Yeah, the season had huge potential, and was the last to have me truly gripped in places. But far too much rigging to make it a classic, and it brought down the whole last few weeks of the season post- Pandora's box.

I also didn't like the Lawon thing, as the whole thing didn't ring true and seemed a little convenient.

Would have been interesting to see how it would have played out without the interference. I loved Team Daniele/Kalia/Porsche. Shelley also was one person who made absolutely the right move for her at the right time (and in a great moment for her stopped being J & J's puppy dog), then got completely screwed over by the producers for it as it didn't fit in line with what they wanted.

The worst part is the series really didn't need any interference, unlike BB11 where it was arguably more necessary if they didn't want a house full of truly unlikeable people in the end. The housemates were giving enough drama on their own, and I think watching the vets getting cannibalised by the newbies who they under-estimated all season would have been a more fitting end to the series. Also - Rachel was a good enough competitor that she really didn't need the help, so it sours the fact she actually did win. If her back was truly up against the wall I'd like to have seen how she'd have handled that. If I knew that Rachel was going to win pre-season I'd have been both shocked and over the moon, but for me now she is one of the worst winners of the show.

I agree with the majority of this. I don't give credit to Rachel for winning especially because Shelly voted for Rachel to win after always claiming she would never vote for her to win the whole season. I can safely say that the producers got in her ear in the jury house for sure. I'm sure having J&J there to force her to as well didn't help. If her vote followed the pattern of the series, she would have voted porsche to win since they were working together at the last moment.

Wow seems this season had a lot of production influence. I remember the week Dani was up and went, the Diary Room did all it could to save her and get Kalia evicted, probably to continue the Dani vs the other vets storyline.

I guess it is nothing knew, Big Brother 8 and 11 were both rigged for Dick and Jeff, and 14 was even worse constantly trying to save that god awful creature Frank.

Makes me wonder why the didn't rig the latest season more as we were left were ghastly housemates in the end.

I'm disappointed at how much they influence the house.

One of the only things I liked about Dan in BB 14 was that he knew the game wasn't just against the players but production as well.

I think every BBUSA season is good, theres always interesting plays and strategies to see but I think even though it was entertaining mostly BB13 was fairly weak - but it did have good parts.

Strengths
- Daniele vs. Rachel storyline was fairly interesting
- Lawon asking to be evicted
- Kalia, Porsche and Shelly were good players and newbies

Weaknesses
- SO MUCH production influence, practically handing Rachel the win at times - that said, I love Rachel. I feel she would've either won or come 4th without Pandora's box based on whether Porsche would've wanted Shelly or Rachel out in f4.
- Jeff & Jordan. God knows why these people are liked. A bully homophobe and an extremely weak player (admittedly, Jordan isn't as bad as Jeff. But Jeff is TERRIBLE)
- The golden key twist. Porsche practically didn't have to do anything until week 4
- The newbies. Lawon, Adam and Keith are by far three of the weakest players I've ever seen. Adam is the worst I think, he played the game FOR Jeff and Jordan. I honestly think if he was in the final three with them and he won HoH he would've evicted himself.
- Dick walking on Day 6. I don't like Dick as a person, but he would probably have done a lot to save the series. He would've definitely told Adam how terrible he was. (Admittedly, it was nice seeing Dani play on her own and I think she did great)

Basically, I liked it apart from Jeff & Jordan & Adam.

I totally agree with this. Shelly was one of three smart newbies, and made a very smart move. All the others were so starstruck by Jeff and Jordan they were happy to play their game. I wish the duo's twist hadn't happened in Week 8 and Jordan had just gone home.

Actually I think that Jordan is a fairly strong, social player. Not so much in her first season, but she matured into one in BB13 and her strategy was pretty solid and she carried a lot of weight in the house (admittedly that was because of being paired with Jeff and so many people were in awe of them, but she did seem good at being generally likeable and able to manage people).

She is quite bland though. And together with Jeff and the favouritism - they were all kinds of awful.

I would hate to see J & J again as a couple, though one of them on their own might be okay, though Jordan said she'd never do it and I really hate Jeff. At least in BB13 he was a good person to root against though. Both of them seemed terribly self-entitled, but especially Jeff.

First one I saw and liked it, much better than the next season with the silly coaches twist.

On the surface it was good but it was manipulated all the way. Shelly's eviction at final 6 as a result of the pandora's box fix was a disgrace.

I really liked the series but the manipulation of Kalia's HoH and the Porsche veto twist was an absolute disgrace. Happy Rachel won and was so happy to see Jordan get evicted in 4th place.

I liked it but like many of you have already stated the BLATANT production manipulation really ruined the season for me. I loved Rachel in her first season but went off the vets (apart from Dani) because the producers helped them out way too much.

And i just really DON"T understand why the whole of America and pretty much everyone else loves Jeff & Jordan so much? Especially Jeff. Awful person and said some awful things on the live feeds that got completely over-looked by everyone. Him getting evicted in that double eviction really made the season for me.

Oh and lets not forget the ultimate floater Adam. He annoyed me beyond belief, one of the weakest constants BB has ever had and he actually thought he would be invited back for a possible all star season? HA.
