All this Frank/series 14 talk is putting me off the upcoming series.
Last year had some influence in it, but none to the extent of series 14 (specifically Frank) or the final six of Big Brother 13 and I hope it remains that way. Any future series with as much manipulation into it as 13 or 14 will have me switching off - I can't bear it. |

Don't apologise ![]() Big Brother 14 was an utter borefest despite so much manipulation from the producers (heck, maybe that was the problem!) - their love for Frank was bizarre. I have no idea how he won Favourite Houseguest. Like you said, most likely rigged just like everything that involved him was. I'm willing to give him a chance if he's back, but if there's any sort of manipulation involved and he's at the centre of it, I'll be skipping the rest of the series. |

Really hope it is a newbie season. However if they have to bring back past HG's then I would prefer they try the relatives rumour that has been floating about. I don't watch Survivor and I believe they have used this concept before? Could be interesting.

I enjoyed the blood vs water season of Survivor. Not sure how successful it would be in a BB house though? Or how it would work.
On Survivor the vets were split from their relatives / spouses as soon as they arrived on the island. They were forced to form two teams, one team the vets, the other team the vets relatives. Every few days they were given a team immunity challenge, if the team won the whole team was safe until the next team immunity challenge. The losing team had to vote out one member of their tribe, that member then had to go to a duel challenge with an earlier evictee - who ever lost the duel went home and the winner had to wait for the next challenge. The significant other (spouse or relative) on the opposite team, that hadn't been voted out, had to make a choice before the duel took place of switching places in the duel and taking on the challenge instead of their partner. When the tribes merged with around 10 survivors left it turned into the usual individual game like I suppose it would be in Big Brother, but whoever had their significant others still on the island had an advantage over the rest because they had a rock solid ally. |

Slightly off-topic, but a BBUS podcast run by a guy called Rob Cesternino (I've seen his name around on regards to reality tv, and apparently he was a Survivor contestant) and featuring Ian Terry will be following BBUK this year. I might follow that, it'll be surreal hearing some former Survivor and BBUS contestants discuss a UK series of Big Brother.

BB16 to be filmed in HD http://www.vulture.com/2014/06/big-b...broadcast.html Quote:
“We’ve added 11 new cameras in the house for better coverage,” Meehan says, including some outside and in certain inside rooms and corridors. “We’ve also lowered some of the cameras so viewers are in the action more.” And because HDTV uses a different aspect ratio — 16:9 — the show’s camera operators now have many more angles and shots to play with than they did before. “You can now see from the kitchen area to the bedroom in one shot,” Meehan says. “It changes the whole look of the house.”
And for us live feed junkiesQuote:
And folks who subscribe to the 24/7 live feed of the show will also benefit. “It’ll be a noticeable improvement for the internet viewers,” Crivelli says.
Good news I feel, if the axe was looming I doubt they'd bother

Unfortunately the producers feel we 'always' need a twist. Quote:
You have to throw a curveball at the houseguests now that we’re in our sixteenth season. You can’t come in expecting to know how to play this game. It’s just not going to work.

Yeah I remember when Shane won HOH the second time he said that the DR was telling him not to put up Frank and Boogie, and then the feeds were down for like 10 hours during a POV because apparently Frank cheated and the housemates were complaining about it. He even admitted on feeds he cheated.
Again the second or first time Ian won HOH he said that the DR was pushing him to work with Frank when he didnt want too. And even at the end they called Jenn into the DR for like 3 hours and when she came out she was worried saying her game was screwed because Dan and Danielle were lying to her and Frank about keeping Frank. ... I only watched the 'episodes' recently ,so didnt watch the live feed..some voting decisions did seem strange come eviction time,.. i did enjoy the series tho ..Dan was amazing..

According to CBS's frequently asked questions the live feeds will begin on June 26th at 10pm pacific time. Quote:
When will the Big Brother Live Feeds begin? https://cbsi.secure.force.com/CBSi/k...bigbrother.comThe Big Brother Live Feeds Season 16 will start on June 26, 2014 at 10:00 pm (PT). Given that the show begins on the 25th, this is unusual. It has always started on the same night as the show begins. Could be an error, as the show began on the 26th last year they may have just forgotten to update it. As usual though, this means the feeds will first begin (either on 26th or 27th June) at 6am UK time. |

From the Jokers website: Quote:
This is a perfect storm for Jokers, which started three months ago. Briefly, a very large company asked us to delete something. We did. They were then incredibly rude: I simply called them on their business conduct, and said any future communication would be through my lawyer. They apologized and for a day or two I thought all was good. Then it occurred that a business who rakes in several billion every couple of months ain’t gonna apologize: this was a setup. I wondered if other materials on my site breached their TOS - I was going to pull them too, but wiser heads prevailed - “ask them before pulling, Cat.” I sent an email in which I said we didn’t want to further cause issues, so was such and such content alright? Their answer was swift. The next day, our ad account was revoked. Completely revoked: our income went to zero. I'm gutted. I don't contribute there, but it's where I get my info/updates from when I'm unable to access the feeds. We’ve been fixing ever since: we re-applied last week and were denied. So back to fixing. And, ergo this damn post. We’re all in the same boat, you guys and Jokers. Economy sucks: nothing we can do. You poor guys can’t help yourselves, much less us. Boy do I get that! The upshot is clear: Jokers will shortly be offline for at least a month (if I’m lucky, and my luck ain’t been so hot lately.) First time ever we’ve had to go offline, but life happens. I’m as sorry as I can be, just sick over it. When I’m able, I’ll tweet that Jokers is up again. Keep your eyes on Twitter and your fingers crossed - and we’ll see you on the flip side. It's gonna be tricky to keep up with what's happening now

That's a real shame, in a morning I go there for updates. It will make catching up tricky.

I dunno. Jokers and their posters always kind of annoyed me. Had too many "cat ladies" there that became over-obsessive over certain housemates. It wasn't aesthetically pleasing to look at either.

That's a real shame, Jokers really is the best site out there for updates.
