Sky Sports 1-4, Formula 1 and News Now TV are on the main EPG. They go straight to Now TV app but no idea what happens after that because I dont subscribe.

Do a software update. The Now TV Sky Sports channels start at 515. If that doesn't work you may need to do a re-tune channels.

I see they are there this morning.
Obvious questions would be, what's the point of filling EPG with these channels when NOW TV is available on YouView players menu? Unless of course that service is only movies.

Your box updates overnight.

One app is on demand movies, the new app, YouView refers to as the helper app, is 24 hour access to all the Sky Sports channels.

Hi RGO - I'm intrigued by this.
I've never seen reference to "the helper app". Where can I find information about this?

(I have googled this and searched the BT website.)

Could be that BT don't refer to it as that, being a stake holder, or is it majority share holder now.

Sky, being the first content provider to support live playout, call it the helper app. Unlike the OD app it has just one role for a subscription service. To confirm the user has entitlement and to provision the box.
