I had a go at the latest tourney this weekend but never got to finish it. I think it was 36 holes. Go for 18 holes first, to make it short and sharp and hopefully more people will get involved. Then slowly build up to 36 holes.

CGT Desert Invitational - Tournament Roundup
After a week of competitive Golfing action at a testing, windswept Bleached Bone Oasis, DLW1964 emerges triumphant from an excellent turnout of 36 players. A highly proficient -20 performance over the weekend earned him the CGT Desert Invitational title. Early pacesetter Bighitter had to settle for a tied second spot with TownNoob, both recording creditable -18 scores. Anquila takes 4th with a tidy 17 under and Nuter performed well again in the CGT, achieving 5th on -16. Thanks to all who partook. Commencing Tuesday at 5pm the Tour returns to a charming, rural and hopefully less blustery venue with The CGT Bavaro Classic! 'The Bavaro CC' is a highly rated 'easy' course boasting abundant appeal, decent challenge and is set amidst sumptious woodland surroundings. Hope to see you there. |

Do you have to do both rounds back to back ? I did the first and shot +7, then as I was at the tee for the 2nd round I quit as my dinner was ready. I went back in last night to start my push for -10
and there was no "continue round" option. Do I have to start again ?

CGT Bavaro Classic - Day Three Roundup
After a top ten finish at the Desert Invitational Burton31 continues his fine form to lead on -22. Another Desert veteran RJRoscoe currently ties second with mpw on sub 18. Lead DS'r currently, (and I stress 'currently' as I've not played yet lol), is Rory on -2 after 18. Another fine turnout too with 32 players completing the event to date. And with such a deep and varied pool of opposition, participants can always set leaderboard targets to challenge. So whether your at the top or lower reaches of the leaderboard, there's always positional objectives to strive for. Tourney closes 5pm Sunday. All are welcome! |

You seem to have a good following there. Good for ps4 and community. Likewise we seem to be doing ok on the driveclub front.

CGT Blackhawk Shield - Final Countdown
As we head into the final few hours of a keenly contested Blackhawk Shield some familiar names are heading the leaderboard. With Anquila seizing pole after cracking a brutally competitive -23 and perennial top ten shooter Bighitter occupying 2nd at -22. I've not played yet, better get on it, but a few DS members have participated carding plus scores. But it's all about the taking part this tour, not to mention savouring the beautiful scenery and unique ambience of the courses. Cutoff on this one is 5pm today, so still time to make your mark on the Blackhawk Shield leaderboard. |

Hi Peeps.
I'm currently toying with giving this ago. Could you just answer a questions/concerns I have? Do I have to waste my time 'levelling up' my golfer on this game? I don't want a game (like Tiger Woods) where I have to play rounds of golf to grind levels to boost my golfers stats - same with equipment, I don't want to have to win money to buy better clubs and balls. Basically what I'm saying is if I play this online from the get go, will there be a level playing field? I'll only be hampered by my own skill/lack of course knowledge - rather than my golfer doesn't hit it as far/accurate as someone else because their golfer has better stats and equipment. I hope that makes sense! |

Yep you're fine Rocketpop. No stats, no money, no clubs to gain. You're just hampered by your own skill.

![]() CGT Celtic Cup Live The CGT travels to Ireland this week as we visit the truly charming Celtic Vineyard GC. CGT tournament course selection is based on relative ease of use, smooth gameplay and beauty. Celtic covers all bases here and provides copious amounts of the latter. Boasting a myriad of pleasing vistas, wonderfully crafted rock formations and thoughtful planting. Well up there in my favourite courses and a great venue for this weeks CGT event. Which rather conveniently is now live! Usual format, 5 days, 36 holes etc. Any q's just ask. Good luck all. |

@Rocket. Welcome. Yep, as KC said it's just you vs the course and the elements. It's a totally level playing field. Any questions about the CGT tournament format or advice/tips about the game please ask.

Burton (not from here) won the Celtic Cup with a somewhat adept -26! Thanks to the few from DS who partook in another well supported event. Tuesday sees the CGT travel to another sumptuous venue crafted by one of TGC's premier designers. Dr Yeti's 'The National at Sasquatch Point' hosts the CGT Sasquatch Open. Duration as ever is five days and a 5pm tee. Good luck out there.
