Pleasant surprise might only make it sort of last gen price say £40. A pleasant surprise to me would be £20

Yeah 20 quid would be pushing it a bit. Now expecting 29.99-34.99. Will need to see if getting on release or not. Probably wait on opinions and reviews from real world players

Amongst many other similar reports, the official UK Sony Playstation website currently refers to a 20.8 release. Although HB Studios say the date is erroneous/unconfirmed.
In other news.. HB recently confirmed that all TGC user created courses regardless of format can be shared cross platform. Thus all PC courses designed to date will be available on PS4/X1 and vice versa. So presumably that's a few thousand ready for download at console launch. And despite the inevitable fair few duds, there's also many dozens of courses featuring pro standard design. |

Id think easier to design on pc too so a bonus for console owners getting those courses imo.

The Golf Club has cleared certification on X1 and will launch 19.8. Running at 720p with 30-45 fps. The PS4 version will launch later this month pending certification approval and will run at 1080p and 30-40 fps. Both will have the graphical equivalent of the ‘High’ settings seen on the PC version. Pricing is €34.99 on both PS4 and X1, GBP figure not yet announced but €34.99 = £27.95.

Shouldn't these run 60fps. Personally would have expected it to.

I also would like to discuss the framerates. Do not get bogged down in this number. These framerates run very smoothly on the consoles. Unlike many games, we have separate threads for the input and the graphics rendering on the consoles. So while the graphics threads render at the above numbers, the input thread runs at 60 frames per second on both consoles. So overall performance feels higher than what you may be imagining the number 30-40 fps represents.

With The Golf Club's release imminent, here's a fine site promoting the ever evolving selection of premier courses available. As mentioned cross platform sharing will provide abundant diversity, and all courses are free to download. Here’s just three of the many pro standard offerings..

I've been watching videos this morning and am liking it. I think the create has been borrowed from Modnation racers, though they probably borrowed it from someone else. It has the same simplicity and yet is powerful enough if you choose to tap into it.
The actual golf mechanics is going to take some getting used to as we are used to having an on screen guide to where your shot will approximately reach and what power you are hitting. This was missing from the videos I watched and so makes it more real and tricky. Could be good. I probably won't buy on release day as will wait to hear if it all works. I really dont want to buy another game that say online will be patched to work later. Lookibg at you pure pool. Still a lot of pop in of gfx on videos above. Well on haunted so far that I've watched. If that doesn't improve I wouldn't buy it as it annoys me too much. |

TGC officially launched on XB1 yesterday with a UK retail of £27.99 and a light 1.9GB download. However some on the HB Forums are not impressed with the visuals, which do indeed feature slowdown and other graphical issues on some of the more complex PC designed courses. It had been a concern of mine that terrain heavy courses created on a high powered PC would contain too much detail for even new gen consoles to handle. A remedy perhaps is HB could implement a filter which identifies PC courses that are console friendly?
I’ll reserve full judgement for now, but I’m not too encouraged from what I‘ve seen and read. The next few days should present a clearer picture with patches, more reviews and further considered user opinion surfacing. XB1 Video No release date still on PS4. |

A shame. I really wanted to like this game but I'm pretty sure it's the long wait for EA's version next year for me.

So I’m a little more encouraged right now, this as we await the PS4’s entrance to the Golfing fray. |

Its still a not buy on release for me. It's sounding too dodgy for that. I'll give it a good few weeks or more to hear real player opinions and see more videos.

It had been a game I was looking forward to but the more I see, the less I like the look of it. Like Yuffie, I'm pinning my hopes on a PS4 release for Everybody's Golf

I'm just not Buying into this parting with cash any more. Ive bought plants vs but I've listened to US Users talk about it and watched them play. It seems to be running well and at 1080/60 into the bargain. The only negative being that the digital version has another big download once you get going. Likewise I need to bare in mind that the golf club is also not a full price AAA but I still expect more from this one. I don't think their going to get the sales they hoped for.

The Golf Club will launch on the US store on PS4 this Tuesday 26th August. HB Studios have stated they are '95%' certain it will be available on the EU SEN the following week commencing 1st September, but can't absolutely confirm till later this week. Either way it will be very interesting to hear how the PS4 edition runs and to check out user opinion from Tuesday.
