Was just thinking about this game yesterday. Was thinking if it had became a bit of a bogey

That's what happens when you make a below par game.

Had a go yesterday, though it was boring. Not having a tutorial didn't help.

Think I'll miss it then, shame really because it looked good when they first teased it. I'll have to wait for a different new gen golf game.

I no good at puns so don't expect any from me but I went ahead and bought it. The main game itself tops out at 948.7MB the update though (well update i'm downloading) tops out at 1.28GB. I'll give it a bash and see (I do love my golf games) first i've bought since everybody's the complete edition on PS3

I've not enjoyed a golf game since Tiger Woods 2003 before EA got greedy and before Tiger was caught cheating with some birdies, he did hit a few holes in one

I'm liking this game. Graphically it is superb as one of the guys mentioned above. Need a bit more practice with the right stick as this is used for swing power and hitting the ball.

The menu's are little confusing to get around and do find it difficult to find a multiplayer match at times but overall very happy with this purchase. For 11 quid I cannot complain. Good to get away from COD, fifa and DC and MGS for a short while and do a quick 18 hole round of golf.
If anyone wants a quick 18 hole round then feel free to add me: Jaffa-mad

I've took the plunge and bought this. Had £6.90 in my account that was just sitting there with nothing to spend it on so adding another fiver is no biggy. I'll try and get a shot after the Scotland game

Not really liking this TBH. It looks good but the pop in of the trees is really noticible and its so difficult! Not having a tutorial or having a shot/power guide is a huge omission. I have no idea how hard I'm hitting my shot or how hard I should be hitting it and went 22 over after 10 holes so just turned it off on rage!

Didn't find it enjoyable at all and by looking at the trophies the 6 people on my friends list have unlocked, it doesn't look like they enjoyed it either with 4 of them only unlocking one trophy which suggests it's really difficult or they can't be arsed with it. Glad I never paid full price it still miffed at spending £11 on it.

Tiger Woods & Everybody's Golf are accessible fun games, this seems just too serious & quite dull.

I'll give it another go over the weekend but I'm not expecting much. Wish I just spent my money on that MGS Ground Zero & the platformer instead.

I just beat your score & got a trophy for doing so 😄 (I scored 98! lol)

What does the yards carry mean? I assumed it was the max distance you'd go if you hit 100% as that what the drive & irons say but in this photo, it said 7 yards carry. I thought it would go 7 yards if I swung 100% but no, it went about 100 yards! http://i.imgur.com/Kktvjgv.jpg

Starting to get the swing of this now & hitting some par shots and I think the difficulty was making me get the rage (plus a few cans of Stella & having a fiver on Scotland/Ireland 1-1 and Ireland hit the bar right at the end...)

Some of the graphics are really pretty, the water effects are amazing, particularly so when the ball plops in it!

I'd say it's worth £11 but not full asking price. It'll do til EG is released & then it'll get deleted

Carry means how far the ball should fly before landing - so a 200yd carry would bounce and roll about another 20 yards making it a 220 yard shot.

However in your photo it makes no sense.

Hope this helps

Yeah, that's what I thought! Just every time I got in this situation, it would say 7 yards carry but it would go at leadt 77 before dropping & away in the rough in the other side of the green

That's due to the speed of the greens. If you're about 8-9 yards I'd advice going about halfway on the swing, you'll eventually get the hang of how far it tends to roll.

The main complaint about the game seems to be the difficulty, which isn't exactly a bad thing. If you want a game you can pick up and just have fun with little effort, you're looking at something like Tiger. This isn't that kind of game and it was never measured to be so. It's an aim at a realistic golf game and it tends to hit the mark for that. It's hard as sh*t to be fair but it's a matter of playing and getting used to it, which takes a while.

Practice how much power you use on swings. Bringing the club back gives less power. However, your power can also be measured by how fast you swing the club FORWARD. Also, adding or taking away loft changes how much power and percentage you put on the ball.

There's a lot to get a grip of, not necessarily a bad thing though unless you wanted something that was an easy pickup without much practice.

Googled for a list of easy courses to try so I could practice & get used to the controls & found some courses which gave out easy trophies too so I done them as well.

Starting to enjoy this game now that I'm getting better at it and find it rewarding when you do well.

I got signed out of PSN for a couple of minutes and I couldn't continue the course I was playing as it was a user generated one.

I take back my earlier gripes about this game and think that if you're looking for a golf game that you're willing to take time to to grips with, then go for it whilst it's on offer ⛳️

JSemple, I noticed you had started a course that I was playing before I got signed out, how did you do that? If you see me playing, send me an invite and we'll do a full course

AAH! Your onemantag! I was wondering who you we're! I'll need to give it a glance again (the par 7 course)?

You get a trophy for finishing under par using only the 7 iron (including putting)

Really enjoying this game now. Go on for a quick round and find myself still playing 2 hours later. Just need to improve my putting & I'll be doing well. I hit it a wee bit too hard or just slightly wide

If You Enjoy Proper Golf you will enjoy this, its very differcult at first espically the putting there adding a Career Mode in the new year and online lobbys as well but you got to put a bit of practice in first to enjoy this game the more you play the more you enjoy,Chipping and pitching really tricky at first but like all games trial and error you wont find a better golf game at its current sale price.
