I picked this up yesterday, in the end was only £7 as I had some cash in my psn wallet. Only got a short go on it yesterday but I'm impressed so far although it is difficult, I'm sure I'll pick it up though.

With a solid selection of quality 4 titles now available and a fair few rapidly incoming, the time was right to rejoin the new gen. So we (gf) recently bagged the sweet looking white model along with two of those aforementioned premier releases. Namely, the intelligently conceived and searingly tense Alien Isolation, plus the wonderfully produced and presented TLoU Remastered. And it's very pleasing to observe that both promote the 4's huge potential admirably. And with The Golf Club continuing to positively evolve with a steady flow of updates and additional features, plus the fact it's just a tenner till 22.1, we now have a trio of fine titles to kickstart the collection. Nice to be aboard again!

Almost a year after first reporting on this one, I finally bagged it yesterday. Was it worth the wait? Absolutely! From it's slick, intuitive UI to it's myriad of gameplay options, TGC is a high quality indie title. Featuring finely tuned and appropriate ambient audio, pleasingly subtle understated comms and some excellent visuals. Regarding the latter, the Haunted Forest, Vale de Morgado, Loch Lorne, Old Beaver Creek and Bavaro courses are particularly worthy of mention from my early sessions. A real bonus too that Remote Play works flawlessly. Congrats to HB Studios on a superb release.

Only half a dozen rounds in but managed to achieve a fairly respectable (plus) 4.4 handicap, higher the better btw. Best score is a minus 10, albeit on Castle Creek one of the easier courses. Gameplay is hugely varied with innumerate member created tours and tournaments on offer. Also very much like the ease with which you can play against fellow members ghost rounds, which provides a convenient way to have an instant competitive matchup.
Continuing now with further course recommendations. I recently played a couple of beautifully designed Desert theme courses, namely Powderfinger and Red Diamond GC. And I would add to those two little crackers the charming woodland course Heathlands. All mentioned courses run very nicely on PS4. |

Bought it in the sale last week. Really enjoying it so far. Wish there was a way to speed up your shot, but hopefully they will do that in the future. Making a course looked a bit complicated, will have a look again when I have more time. Happy with it and plenty of courses to try.

I have just got back into this game and finally after it has received many updates, the game looks good and is playable. But when the new version of EA tiger woods gold comes out soon(minus the TW name) with the fully licensed players and courses i suspect i will switch to this from the golf club

Well this is going rather well. After just a dozen or so rounds my plus handicap has now risen to 7.2 and I've now a wide selection of truly premier level courses in my favourites. Plus to nicely top things off I equalled the world's best handicap score on the hugely impressive Ascension Bay and hit a third best global score on the imposing desert course Bleached Bone Oasis.
There's massive longevity and diversity here too, and it's not just the wide array of Tours and Tournaments on offer, every round you play is relevant. Providing a chance to improve your average score, global ranking, beat a friend or challenge the world's best! Further course recommendations include the aforementioned Ascension and Bleached, Celtic Vineyard, Sasquatch Pointe and Tomahawk. All feature the three key elements required from a good course. Namely acute, bordering on obsessive attention to detail, strategic challenge and thirdly all run extremely well on PS4. 9/10! |

Yes, its an excellent Golf game. Some of the courses are amazing. It really is a true sim. Some of the courses people have made are breath taking.
What the developers need to do is improve the Online Multiplayer aspect of the game. For me this part needs to be revamped. I would like to see the other players shots and there needs to be an easier way to link up with people online to play a game. For £12 though I cannot complain too much. |

Great Tours & Courses
TGCTours.com is THE reference source for both professionally organised tournament play and course recommendation and review. The extremely well implemented tour structure provides competition for all skill levels, this from the relatively 'novice' Q-School qualifying to full on PGA and European pro tours. There are now thousands of courses available for The Golf Club, but with respect, many are not well conceived. The TGC Tours Course List therefore is a prime resource to find those premier designs and designers. |

Yes, its difficult to find some of the courses but that list is very comprehensive. I never knew that there were this many courses available to play. if you ever want to game just add me Jaffa-mad.
Is there list of people who wish to play the game in Multiplayer. this is for me where it is at. playing Solely on a course can get boring. |

I'd get involved with that but it's hard to time it all really. I enjoy playing against ghosts more than anything so that I can see how I'm doing against other people. I'm generally just swinging stick on my own.

Precisely my vibe KC, the difficulty of coordinating an event. But that's the beauty of the ghost ball system, because there's no need for players to be present at the same time. You can setup a tournament, inform participants and they can play their rounds whenever suits them. As a little taster I'll knock together a small one round open to all tourney later, with say a 5 day window, I'll post details here. Just play your round anytime within the next 5 days. See you out there, sort of!

I never knew you could setup this Ghost playing system where ppl can play in their own time. Man, I will defo be up for that.
Its very similar to what we do in the Driveclub thread where we setup challenges and everyone can play the challenge within a few days but play it in their own time when its suitable. Sounds good to me! DSpy Golf Club .......FTW! |

With 40 and counting beautifully designed courses in my favourites, it was tricky to pick a course for the intro tourney. But I finally opted to head to the home of Golf and Scotland's wonderfully conceived Loch Lorne GC. With a few of us relative novices, this 'easy' rated course seemed appropriate. It's not without challenge though, with some tight fairways, medium speed greens and often testing winds. So the 36 hole 'DSpy Loch Lorne Challenge' will be up at about 6pm tonight with a 5 day window, thus allowing a traditional early evening Sunday finish. No handicaps on this one, and to reiterate, you can play your rounds anytime between 6 tonight and 6 on Sunday. Enjoy and good luck! |

I'll give this a go. Haven't really played this consistently since downloading it a month or two ago so I haven't really got into the swing of it. When I did play it, I did struggle pretty bad. I'll just be taking part to save others from the humiliation of finishing bottom ⛳️
Once you post a score, can you begin again to try and better it or is it a case of once posted, that's it finalised? |

The DSpy Loch Lorne Challenge is now live. Just search for DSpy in tournaments.

OK giving it a go and for the first hole I putted from 37 feet for a birdie. Nice reasonable start (it won't last)
