"OK Google".... in the UK ???
So a new update to Google search is supposed to bring this feature (saying OK Google) to the UK, without having to change your search language settings to US English. But I cant seem to get it to work, it's there if I change to US English though..... hmmmm I am on android 4.2.2, maybe thats the problem.

I'm on 4.2.2.
Open Google search, press menu, settings, press Voice, then make sure "Hotword Detection" is on. And UK English. My settings here |

I have version 3.1.24.941712 installed. I did uninstall and then reinstall from the play store too. Maybe i'm just not getting the latest version for some reason.

un-installing and re-installing won't give you the new version. you have to wait for it to be pushed out to you. |

I noticed saying Google is sufficient. No need for OK.
Think of the time I've saved you. |

So how does this work?
I have the update and have the correct settings installed. Do I need to go inside google now before I can use the hot word or can I just say it like you can on the nexus 5 to launch google now? |
