Well given it's 30yrs since Bolero then it's not going to be anything else!

IMO since it's an All Stars the finalists should prove their worth and have to skate the original Bolero.

And the bolero does interesting things because it doesn't favour moving too fast, or quick tricks, but grace, acting , emotion and acting as a pair. In so far as the music could suit something else - there's also the expectation that it should look like the original. That reduces some people's obvious advantages and favours others.

Same with flying - if thats back as a key fast feature. That changes the balance of advantage too.

Of course it may make no diference if people have decided on their winner before either start.

Ironic if they had to skate the original. The finalist who did something nearest to it was probably Clare.....

I always think the finalist should be able to choose which T&D routine they do. Bolero is obviously the most famous, but it doesn't suit all of the people who get to the final and I think you should be allowed to play to your strengths in your final skate.

Also some of the routines over the years have been laughable.
