I'll start off with one I am listening to right now:

Arman Van Helden - Koochy (Samples the 1979 #1 single by Gary Numan, "Cars").

Mention of Gary Numan reminds me of how his group, Tubeway Army, had their number one hit, Are Friends Electric, from 1979, sampled by the Sugababes' first hit, in 2000 I think (can't remember the Sugababes' song name).

It wasn't their first hit, and it wasn't released in 2000, it was released in 2002 and was called "Freak Like Me".
