31 [27] = Frankie Osborne = 11.64% (Round 1)
(Ranking History = 23-28-27-31)
Frankie takes a small drop this year and is in fact the first year she doesn't make it past the first round. The character has shown to be extremely uneven over the past year or so; we've seen her (if anything) sympathising with Ruby after the whole bullying fall out and not wanting to really punish her, couple this with her sleeping around with Ziggy too and throwing away a good relationship with Jack. You also have to look at her history to realise that Jonno (her first husband) did the same thing to her; so would she really do the same thing herself? Anyway she did register the biggest score of round 1 and proves she is possibly best of the worst section; she is part of one of the biggest and most successful current families on the show so it will be good to see how the fall out of her affair continues and just what will happen throughout the rest of 2014.
That's the last one for this section... more results will come later today

The child who plays Leah not only is very cute but can act the pants off the vast majority of the older actors in Hollyoaks.
Some surprises there for me. Would have had Tom, Leah and Frankie much higher. There are plenty of characters who are worse imo.

Enjoying this so far, didn't take part in the majority of this years rounds so this makes it even more better for me.

i enjoy this as well , i love the descriptions pretty spot on. find it funny how that ray guy placed higher than Vincent , that's just classic. The actress who plays Leah i agree brilliant for her age and i am sure once she is older she will climb higher. i am still upset Jim (RIP) never made the top 10 but what can you do , no taste people 
Agree with most of the results so far seeing as though all the dreadful characters are out but would have liked Holly, Leah and Tom higher up. Can see Sienna and Ste being the final 2
I would of liked Theresa, Frankie, Holly and Leah getting higher placements. I would have said Phoebe but she's been destroyed.

30 [38] = George Smith = 4.44% (Round 2)
(Ranking History = X-46-38-30)
So despite being involved in possibly one of the worst storylines in the last year on the show, George climbs a further 8 places up from last year and to his best position to date. He seemed to be a bit out of his depth in round 2, however I still think the character does have possibilities and as shown in the past, George can be good when actually used properly. The Vincent storyline is doing no one any favours and hopefully it'll all end soon with Vincent's exit and then George (and Phoebe) can get onto other storylines. Out of the teens which were introduced he is the last one standing and therefore Birkwood must have some form of plans for him... maybe an actually relationship as opposed to what we have with Vincent and his brief fling with Ste. Hopefully 2014 will see George actually being used well as opposed to how he has become off late... I mean look at how good he was in the homeless storyline and the early Phoebe storylines.

29 [NE] = Joe Roscoe = 6.03% (Round 2)

Is he dead... is he alive? would it make any real difference either way? Anyway questions of Joe's mortality aside, he becomes a new entry at 29 having made it through to the second round. Joe, out of the Roscoe brothers was always really the normal bloke and the one that has to look out for the others being older than them. However he seemingly came a cropper when Grace decided to kidnap someone close to Freddie after he stole information from them. From a viewers point of view it does seem as though Joe has died; they've even gone to the lengths of removing him from the credits. However seeing as everything has been quiet in terms of actually announcing his departure. I'm guessing he is still very much alive and being kept by Fraser somewhere. 28 [26] = Dennis Savage = 6.81% (Round 2)
(Ranking History = X-27-26-28)
Dennis slips a couple of places, however for a third year remains almost static in the character rankings. Personally I can't see how he's survived the axe for such a long period of time especially given the characters that Birkwood decided to get rid of. However Dennis is still here despite having any real proper storyline since Leanne's death; I think with the recent spoilers of a characters introduction that may change, however I still think that Dennis staying on the show is a bit of an odd move. With Will's reveal it would've been the opportune moment for him to depart however it didn't happen. Birkwood obviously has plans for the character, so no doubt 2014 will see Dennis have a lot more prominence in the show; something that Dennis was lacking for much of 2013.
27 [NE] = Sam Lomax = 7.25% (Round 2)

Sam is another new entry at 27; the village's very own detective... however never quite being able to find the right villain or arrest the right people. She's the mother of the Lomax clan and in the dark over Danny's big secret that he has had an affair with John Paul. Sam has been involved in quite a few of the gangster storylines, working with Tony and also is becoming a bit of a rock for John Paul after his rape. Obviously there are big things to come for Sam with the reveal of Danny's infidelity to come out and also John Paul's attack to also come into the public domain. I think she's a good character and the Lomax family have probably been the more successful out of the new families introduced so it will be good to see what 2014 has in store for them.

Like Dennis I thought that after the Will reveal that the majority of the Savages would have departed... however they have remained. The character has been growing in terms of on screen appearances throughout 2013 and had a nice relationship with Cindy going on too. However since the Will reveal all has been a bit quiet on the Dirk front. I think he is a nice character and juxtaposes his rival Patrick fairly well in that he is sly and manipulative. I'm guessing there is more of Dirk on the horizon and hopefully his relationship with Cindy will come a bit more to the fore once more.

Tegan is another new entry and to be honest I was expecting her to do slightly better actually as I thought she was a bit more popular, however she only manages to make mid-table and is only the 7th highest new entry. She came into the show in hospital having a baby and the father turned out to be none other than gangster Fraser Black. There is obviously that secret to come out to her family and the rest of the village which should prove an interesting 2014 for her. Really though since the birth of her daughter and the Fraser revelation being revealed she hasn't been given much in the way of other storyline and seems a bit on the outer reaches of the show at the moment. I'm guessing that will change a bit more as the year progresses, however she does feel slightly under used at the moment.

He's a gangster chap don't you know! Trevor is another new entry and manages to make a fairly good debut this year. He was initially bought in during the whole Jacqui exit storyline and has been around taunting people ever since. I guess they tried to make him (along with a lot of the unflux of baddies) Brendan esque, however never really works. He's caught up in the world of Fraser, Grace and the recently departed Jim. His days on the show are possibly numbered, especially when Fraser gets rumbled, however he seems relatively popular on here judging by where he has come and 2014 should see more Trevor action as the gangster plot rumbles on.
