Here at Casa de Noooway we seem to be getting over a bout of dysentry. Our appetites aren't great and I was wondering what everyone eats when they are recovering from an illness?
Today all we've managed is crusty bread, cold cuts, crisps and boursin, all washed down with Lucozade. Still pooing tea though

![]() ![]() I think it's because my mum always made Chicken Noodle soup when I was ill when I was little (old jewish remedy apparently) and I can just remember it coming back up the same way it went down! |

If I feel sick I tend to just have a couple of protein shakes throughout the day so if I lose any weight its not muscle.

When the appetite is low I struggle to eat much. I will try basic chicken soup and porridge.

Anything. Theres virtually nothing puts me off my grub. I'm always partial to toast and marmite though.

I so not lose my appetite when ill all that much.
On the rare occasions that I do, I will have Heinz Tomato Soup with cheddar cheese lumps dropped in the soup so it melts a bit and soft white bread to dip in to it. |

When ill I'll often have nothing at all except drinks, Bovril, marmite (yes, as a drink) and beer - all have some nutrition.
Though soups are usually acceptable, toast and natural yoghurt. I can sometimes manage a portion of those cans of Princes Chicken in White sauce.

Starch with a side of dry white toast. Cream of Wheat. Mashed potatoes. Ramen noodles. It's all good. What's weird is I eat none of these things normally.

When I'm sick, I always struggle to eat. Even soup I find doesn't appeal to me. So I tend to drink loads of home made smoothies that are watered down a fair bit to a more juice like texture. It's an easy way of getting something into me without physically eating.

Mini pepperami, 2 bags of pickled onion space raiders and sip a can of coke (best if it is slightly flat)

I eat very little if I am poorly. I usually have the appetite of 3 men, so know I am bad if I am off my food.
