Sadly, I have had to back out this year, I have been having Physio on my foot for Tendonitus. It is OK now, but at the moment I can only run for around ten minutes as I haven't trained for four months. I have asked everyone who was going to Sponsor me to Sponsor my mate Graham. He is my inspiration who I owe everything to, he persuaded me to join him and his fellow postmen in a Half Marathon in 2009. I not only found a great new past time, I also found the best friend that I have ever had. He is running for the Multiple Sclerosis charity, and has to raise £2000.
I am quite happy to be in the crowd this year, cheering him on as he did for me last year. Meanwhile I hope to be fit enough to take part in the Whitstable 10K on May Bank Holiday Monday, which also happens to be my 77th birthday.
