Team Challenge. Gah!
I wish we could have had the required elements back for AllStars. It gave the shows a backbone and the judges something clear to guide them with their scores. Puts more emphasis on skating skills too. ![]() Beth is now the highest average scoring female. So if they go by that criteria again, she and Ray should pick teams. Hayley is now equal with Suzanne. If they change things and go with this weeks scores its Ray and Hayley who choose. If they pick leaders by average score , its a nighmare choice. Beth and Suzanne get on. If she picks Hayley, Hayley probably has more votes and might put Beth into a skate off if their team loses. Hayley and Ray though may win as the judges favourites regardless, if you allow them to go together. If Beth picks the two males, if she can, she's potentially up against two people with weaker votes. But, if she lets Ray have any males, its entirely possible that Robin will cast any deciding vote for the male skaters anyway. If you are Beth, you don't want to be up against Hayley with Jai Ho, or Suzanne with Music, in a skate off - wheras Sam and Kyran have used their best routines already. You decide - who do you pick? The bottom line is that the criteria for who chooses, and who goes first picking, may both be decisive who goes.... |

I think she's there to the final. I think she has a vote, and they seem to want to get rid of Suzanne and all the males bar Ray. Her vote versus the Emmerdale/Corrie vote for Hayley may even be enough to make the last two - with a decent routine or two. She's got the improvement story and tricks Hayley hasn't.

Hmmmm Team Challenge aka "We better make sure OUR favourites get through to the next round"
![]() I'm sure it won't make any difference though & he'll get the public vote. |

Suzanne is being thrown under the bus in terms of the routines she's getting. Don't understand why though- she would be better than Hayley, and at least on a par with Beth, if she was given the right routine.
Makes me wonder if the decisions as to who gets what choreography wise are based on who has committed to the tour afterwards. No mention of Suzanne yet doing the tour but Hayley is confirmed . Can't bear Sam so hope next week it's him gone. |

Can you imagine the shock on Hayley's face if the public voted Ray and Beth through to the final two

I enjoyed this week's show. I think it suits the programme to have some kind of theme.
I was braced for Gareth to go, as I couldn't see him outstaying any of the champions, and as much as I like him and his skating, it doesn't do anyone any favours to over-stay your welcome. Then I saw the show and really do feel like I'd have happily lost Sam instead. Gareth isn't as strong a skater, but he's just so much more likeable, and making visible progress each week. I wouldn't expect him to make the finals, but there's no way Sam's going to be there either. ![]() I'm in the minority in that I quite enjoyed Nicky's commentary. I liked that he was a bit stricter with the voting. The contestants need somewhere to go. I was relieved that Hayley managed a routine without a fixed grin on her face. OK, she had a fixed *serious-face* throughout instead, but it was a little bit of variety, and I loved the music. I notice that some celebs are given their routines on the Monday, while some have to wait until the Tuesday. It's inevitable that they can't all get them on the Monday, but it must put some at a disadvantage. Not keen on the team thing, and it will be interesting to see how the egos cope with choice of team captains. |

Completely agree. When Jason said it was safe and lacked content, that's got nothing to do with them, they are given the choreography . If Hayley had been given that routine she would have had to make the best of it as well .
Makes me wonder if the decisions as to who gets what choreography wise are based on who has committed to the tour afterwards. No mention of Suzanne yet doing the tour but Hayley is confirmed . Can't bear Sam so hope next week it's him gone. As to who gets what choregraphy, thats now beyond a joke. Hayley gets the dance numbers she can act - without the lifts Beth and Suzanne have to work on, or the risks. Suzanne gets either the most difficult move of the week, or nothing much. Beth gets something inbetween - thats either suited to her acting range or not. They have a problem given what Hayley can't do, but its just unfair to give her routines that score highly that anyone else could do, and to give others the moves she can't. |

Also silly for Jason not understanding why Sam has no votes. Who does he think should go into the skate off instead of him?? Kyran? Suzanne?? Beth??

I know that was a very silly thing to say. IMO Sam and Vicky are not very likeable. There is something about those two that doesn't make me ingratiate towards them. I cant put my finger on it.
And Jason was hardly enthusiastic about Sam's 1st routine so why did he expect the audience to be? |
Bottom 2 on the leaderboard in the skate off - surely that's what the judges want?
And Jason was hardly enthusiastic about Sam's 1st routine so why did he expect the audience to be?
Exactly

I think it would have been nice to have the judges in all 80's dress and wigs too
