Ben Fogle: New Lives in the Wild
I'm surprised that there's no thread on this. It's one of my favourite programs.
The first couple of weeks of this new series had some really interesting characters, especially last week's. This chap, however, worries me. |

He does seem rather unhinged.

Have you tried looking for a thread in the relevant section of the forums, i.e. the TV section?

I have only just noticed this programme is back! I am recording this weeks and I am hoping I can download the last couple. I found the last series really interesting.

He's a powderkeg, although I think that's why he lives where he does. Maybe he can control his urges, goes a bit feral in the Philippines. He clearly dislikes having to go back Stateside for a couple of months to earn.

What a toff. Went to posh school and ate his baby food with a silver plated spoon. |

Not sure why this guy invited a TV crew to his home, he's clearly not enjoying the experience.

I think the difference about this guy is that in previous episodes, people have given up a life of luxury for a different way of living.
This guy seems to be looking for a life of luxury. |

When you can do that.......then you can criticise. |

He can't help having well-off parents. His mum was a famous actress, not sure about his dad.

If you want to have a pop at him start a thread in showbiz, you'll get some 'takers' Anyway, anyone who's interested in the program want to throw in some links or a summary of what you're talking about. 'this guy, that guy' isn't much of a discussion. |

No amount of money gives you the fitness and mind needed to row the Atlantic......and that's just one he's done.
When you can do that.......then you can criticise. A lot of self control to do it with Jame Cracknell(sp) without stoving his head in IMO. Two aggressive fella's in a very small boat on a very big sea, only one would be coming back

I've loved this so far, missed last night's so will have to catch up.
I think Ben Fogle is great, he seems so at ease with different people. Last weeks Indian guy was lovely and they had a great rapport. |
