Hello looking for some Advice please, I am about at the end of my tether.

Whenever watching something on the Humax 1000s from the "humax my videos" section or using on demand the screen will randomely go black but audio remains this I have noticed while watching a program tends to occur mainly when a scene fades out and a new one fades in. The only way to get the picture back is to turn the LG smart tv off & on again.

This is the second Humax Box & the second Smart tv so this rules out a faulty appliance. I Will add I had this Problem LONG before the latest software update. I have tried different Hdmi slots, different Hdmi cables.

I am getting annoyed now as this "tripping" of the picture can occur up to 4 times ina 40 minute tv show.

Any ideas what the heck is going on and if it is a setting on the box or the Lg Smart Tv needs altering or what I can do/this may be.

Many Thanks.

EDIT: I forgot to mention the screen NEVER EVER goes black when using the blu ray player or any apps ONLY WHEN using the Humax box.

In the advanced Picture settings on the Smart Tv there is a "Black Colour" option which is default set to low, switching it to high removes the problem. Although the contrast & Brightness when High is used will need to be lowered as it gives a washed out image otherwise.

On my LG TV to resolve funny picture video handshaking issues I was getting, I found the solution was to turn off Simplink.

The TV setup menu for some odd reason has no access to the Simplink options which seem to be a bit like Panasonic's Vierra Link.

To alter Simplink, press the Simplink button the remote control and turn it off.
