I'm gutted it that there's no season 3 yet, will that be a straight to Netflix release too?
Netflix make it so, it will always be straight to Netflix full season dump.

I'm only up to episode 6 because the World Cup has been dominating my TV viewing. No football tonight so hopefully I can knock of the remaining episodes.

Really enjoying it though. It's good to get background on more of the characters.

I'd be glad if they just released Alex and Piper and continued with the rest of the characters. Not really bothered about their mundane lesbian dramas.

Just finished watching the whole season, Netflix are really doing well with the own TV shows.

Think I liked the first season better, but I did enjoy the second season as well.

I liked seeing Piper adjusting to prison life in the first season which probably added to the humour a bit more for me. Also in the second season I kind of found the whole Red and V thing a bit tedious.

But it was still enjoyable viewing.

Really great show, it almost seems sad that most people wont get to see it.
Bring on series three....quick!

A year - really?

I've just been watching seasons 1 and 2 over the last few weeks, and I've really enjoyed it.

The ending of season 2 really felt good!

Sets it up nicely for them to reunite in prison

Netflix are very good with their shows. They don't let us know what the ratings are for the shows but they say they don't need to. I don't think they are the type of network to cancel a show and then leave us with a cliffhanger like loads of television networks do. If you look at their original shows, they have all been successful. Orange, Cards, Hemlock, Season 4 of Arrested and Lily Hammer. More and more customers have joined because of these shows which is great.

If orange was on network television, i could see it on HBO or showtime.

I just finished season 2, but I must admit I found it really hard to get into it and nearly gave up on a couple of occasions. However from about the halfway point in series 2, it got brilliant and the final episode right at the end was superb with Vee's comeuppance.
My favourite character is Crazy Eyes, but I also quite like Red, Morello, Burset (would love to see more of her) and Nicky. The only thing that bugs me is the opening titles are fairly long and Piper and Alex are a little boring.

Can you imagine what it would be like if it was on NBC or CBS? You'd have to take out almost everything that was good about it.

I eventually made it to the end yesterday and while I really liked it and there was some fantastic moments, I don't think it quite got to the levels of the first season. However, that's a 9./10 season compared to a 9/5/10 one.

I am not fond of the opening credits. I can't stand the theme song. I always used to skip it.

I also was never that big on Piper and Alex in season 1, so lack of Alex in season 2 never bothered me. But their relationship is popular among fans and critics.

Me too, the credits seem really long, and the song grates on me for some reason, though I don't have anything against Regina Spektor in general...

Anyway, finished S2 last night, and I really enjoyed it, a good satisfying end to the series, with (I assume) some annoying characters written out (Fig, Piper's ex-fiance & her best friend), and enough loose ends to get S3 up & running next year...

I think the quality was every bit as good as S1, but the fact that it's no longer "new and different" might make it seem less so, and I agree that V tended to overpower the S2 plot, but I guess that was the point, and at least we know she won't be doing that in S3

I also didn't mind the Piper/Alex storyline being relegated to a b-plot, I hope it doesn't become the centre of S3... great show though, can't wait to see the girls again next year!

I am watching the second season now, only discovered this show a few weeks ago.

Agreed about the opening credits, they are too long and I find the song really irritating. I skip em

Just finished S2. No where near as great as S1. Thought the first 5 episodes or so were pretty crappy, but it picks up after that. The finale...

Spoiler

Has S3 been confirmed yet?
