How about the quality of programming on BBC One compared to ITV?

Thats easy BBC - Gold Medalists for thrashing the opposition daily and ITV also rans for ignoring large parts of the audience for large parts of the day/year who are not interested in soap operas/reality.
Of course I could be slightly biased there.

My ratings smash talent show would involve singers dressed in four items of specially-adapted, velcro-secured clothing attached to wires. Each of the four panel members would hold the wire for one item of clothing. If one panel member doesn't like what they hear, they pull the wire and the contestant loses an item of clothing. If all four hate the singing, the contestant ends up naked.

Spoiler

Re The Voice.

I still don't get the logic of the teams being 'full'. Some are rejected not on talent but on the basis that they were auditioned/filmed after everyone else. Weirdly

Strong show tonight l. Still feels like it's dragging but kinda in a positive way

Saw this on Google News today- ITV unable to dumb down programmes any further, say scientists: http://www.newsbiscuit.com/2014/02/1...ay-scientists/

You don't have to admit bias on here. All posts are utterly and completely unbiased in construction and nature by everyone.

Considering BBC One was the home of Don't Scare the Hare I don't think ITV have hit that point quite yet.

BUT BUT BUT I hope you're paying Bucks Fizz royalties, whipping off clothing mid-performance in a live light entertainment TV show is sooooooo 1981 and more importantly sooooooo unoriginal

Celebrity Love Island though

To be fair that was only slightly worse than Big Brother. I definitely think I trumped you with Celebrity Wrestling.

Only slightly worse than Big Brother, almost as high praise as Splash officially being acknowledged as better than Don't Scare The Hare

Officially acknowledged by who? Splash! is in a different televisual universe to Don't Scare The Hare!

It is very close to the BBC's HD channels on the Freeview HD EPG, so that's my excuse.

I actually met them when I was six. I should have got them to sign a royalties waiver. I don't plan ahead.

I agree they could be a little shorter ie not so many VTs. However there still enjoyable none the less.

I've given up on The Voice - even the blind auditions are boring me now. I've been watching Melodifestivalen instead but from next week I'll be watching SNT.

I just think it leaves a lot to be desired - the format itself is much too serious for my liking as well, although I can see why it appeals to a lot of people.
