I was surprised to see that the Daily Mail has nearly double the circulation figures of the Mirror. It's also outsells the Express by nearly 4 to 1.

Mr Selfridge was an absolute gem tonight, best episode this series by a mile. Shame the ratings have dropped it deserves Downton sized figures.

It looks like the Voice knockout rounds will be on the Sat 15th and Sun 16th as the week after is when the lives are due to start. I reckon it could do alright in that 8pm slot on Sun.

The DOI final is next Sunday.


The Knockouts were done over Saturday and Sunday last year. On Digiguide there is currently a 90-minute Voice showing on Sat 15th, with a TBA in the Sunday 20:00 slot.

Does anyone know what ITV are replacing DOI with? I don't think it will be one of their 2-hour dramas because Mr Selfridge has 2 weeks to go after DOI finishes and 3 hours of drama on a Sunday night feels a bit excessive for ITV in these austere days.

ITV is TBA from 16:15-21:00 on Sunday 16th. We should know more by Tuesday.

So it would fit as 90mins wouldn't be enough time to fit everything in.

There is a major Itv Prince Harry documentary which will lead into the final two episodes of MR Selfridge. Itv are hoping this documentary gets the 5.5m+ figures that last year's Our Queen show and previous year's Prince William documentaries got.

Interestingly Our Queen played at 20:00 on the Sunday after DOI finished last year, so it would be very similar scheduling.


Knockouts last year were 70 mins (Sat) + 72 mins (Sun) = 142 mins.
So about 90 mins (Sat) + 60 mins (Sun) would be just slightly longer.

Indeed. I agree. Perhaps ITV should find a man to be a regular on Loose Women. Can't men (I assume 90% of the MOTD audience) just have a programme aimed at them from a male perspective?

Nope. There was no separate Charlotte Moore interview in The Sunday Times; it was just the news report you read in the main News section, with some soundbites from Moore. Normally, you might expect a follow-up full interview in the Culture section or Sunday Times Magazine but there was nothing in these. I actually found it odd that a Murdoch paper printed that BBC plug (though countered by the fact that there was a BBC bashing piece on the facing page about salaries).

No idea - I'm guessing Catchphrase and Off Their Rockers will return though, while All Star Mr & Mrs is also in the can if they put entertainment in the 8pm hour too. We know there is a one-off Surprise Surprise on March 30th for Mothers Day too, so they might delay a new schedule until April.


It's having a female pundit for the sake of having a female pundit that's the problem. Why should the majority of candidates for the job be rules out because they have a penis? From what I understood anyway the BBC weren't planning to replace Hansen but use more of a rotating panel from reports prior to this season.


And I wish the BBC and others would man up and just accept it's absolutely fine to have at least one show on TV which is male dominated and geared towards a male audience considering 90% of output seems to target the female audience.

From memory, no women have played or managed in the Football League/ Premiership, I may be wrong though.

Oh dear - It seems a lot of our alpha males really cant handle the thought of having females anywhere near their beloved football. It will be the end of civilisation as we know it if a female gets through the door of MOTD.

Tomorrow's Mirror is reporting that the BBC has told Susana Reid to go "on a break" due to her recent marital problems and that she will not be hosting tomorrow's Breakfast. This is basically what I predicted would happen a few days ago, she's been effectively put on gardening leave but under the official reason of it being due to her "relationship problems". We may never see her presenting on Breakfast again...

I am surprised you mention the word rantings, there was no ranting there. If I was to rant on something, everyone would know I was ranting.

As for evidence, just look at the number of times the Mail or the Express go on about immigration as evidence of their racism and bigotry. [ as a quick google search will show]
