Great to see The Good Wife and Nashville take the top two ratings for More4, both 500k+ inc +1.

E4 also enjoying good import ratings with Brooklyn Nine Nine, HIMYM and the Tommorow People all over 1 million exc+1. Hollyoaks also posting some great figures as well.

Top official for 5+24 was NCIS with 36k.

Comedy Centrals The Middle only 268k ex +1 but enough for 2nd place.

Mt Selfridge now above Musketeers after consolidation. Although both should be doing better.

We knew this day was coming didn't we? Mr Selfridge stays around the same level while Musketeers kept falling.

With Bridesmaids this Sunday on Channel 4 could the 9pm dramas take a hit?

It was terrible. I have the feeling there's a good show in there somewhere, struggling to get out, but it seems to be buried under tonnes of rubble.

I wonder if the week break for The Musketeers has harmed it or increased its chances? Overall, The Musketeers series average could be higher than Mr. Selfridge, and that is what the reports will focus on later in the year.

Harry Enfield totally ruined any potential in it for me. It was like watching a comic relief sketch of Harry Enfield and Chums. He was the same in his sketch shows as he was in Blandings.

Thanks DMN.

Some great figures for The Winter Olympics on BBC2.

Rising Star can't come soon enough for ITV. And do you know what Babylon ended up with?

Depends how far it drops though - although below 4million is unlikely. Is It?

I think Blandings is wretched. A bunch of people thinking overacting is the best way to do comedy. It's atrocious!

Taking a leaf out of Samuel's book, Rising Star could potentially transform ITV's Sunday Nights.

Quite surprised Call the Midwife keeps dropping, its now down 1.2m from its series 3 debut. Are viewers loosing interest with consolidating ratings no below last year, or is it just catch up other ways?

Whatever happens with The Musketeers series 2 is guaranteed. But it will need tweaking to get back lost viewers. And I doubt it will follow Call The Midwife ever again.

You're right! My mistake. I forgot about Dancing On Ice getting that rating in 2006.

It isn't exactly freefalling though. Downton Abbey dropped similarly during series 3 and series 4 was back up! I don't think CTM is much of a concern though.

I don't think Musketeers will drop any further. Infact, I predict it will go up to 5.2m viewers for this weeks episode. (I have probably now just put the kiss of death on it!)

So people are watching more ads which seems counterintuitive to me.
Is it because there are many more ads and commercial channels or because a large section of the viewers cant be bothered to avoid them?

I hardly ever see an ad these days.”

I don't think I see 47 a year!

Im assuming Harry Enfield was just a one-off guest, at least I hope so. The characterisation was just keep shouting whilst channelling ...... Harry Enfield! Didn't do anything for the show at all and may have put a few off next week.

Blandings is clearly Marmite, but minus anything over the top I enjoy it.

Likely to kill it then, probably one of the main things holding it up. If you move it away from CTM, I pretty sure it would drop to its lowest ratings. At the moment its an a ratings sandwich of CTM with 8.5m and the news on after with 5m+.

Oh I know there's no worry, but its surprising its still going down even in consolidated figures.

Probably, we know what happened when TVUK took a week off.

I would imagine the Beeb were 95% certain of series 2 even before broadcast. It seemed big time glossy hit drama, and it was well promoted as such. In fact the promotion probably delivered a bigger initial audience than expected, and that has made the fall off in viewers more dramatic. Has Ripper Street written all over it and even now I have doubts about series 3. Hope Im wrong.

The timeshift has dipped slightly each week. Usually a lower overnight can lead to a higher timeshift as people want to catch up. CTM is still getting 10m but there are dips.

I suppose this weeks episode might end up less than 10 million but in any language the above is a tremendous record. Thanks for the list.

We have seen this pattern before with Ripper Street and The Paradise. Lots of fanfare and a drama launches big, ratings tail off slightly for series 1, series 2 rates less than series 1, no series 3.

Fingers crossed The Musketeers bucks this trend.
