I player showings have been over 1 million at times. Of course there is also demand and recordings that come into play here for all of TV now. There is so many different options of watching TV. Unless it's a Huge episode (Like a whodunit or LIVE) then the soaps won't pull in big figures on main showing.
On another note it seems DTC is not interested in having a LIVE episode for EastEnders next year and on the point of this storyline running so long he stated it will run alongside other big storylines and won't be the only big storyline running.
