Indeed. And remember the storyline is really about Ian... her death is inciting incident...

Massive jump for The Big Reunion last night. It averaged 799k (inc +1), which is almost double what it got last week and pretty similar to where it settled last year. Looks like Two and a Half Men has really been hurting it.

I think George Gently is down on last week. Expected it to be higher. ITV would have been better sticking to Birds Of A Feather.

Wow BBC2 is having a tremendous week, the Winters Olympics is giving a nice boost to other shows all week, such as University Challenge, Sewing Bee, Line of duty and now Hairy Bikers, great scheduling by them, and it's really paying off.

The Hotel Inspector up to 1.61m.

Where are the critics saying it's past it this morning ? Is there not another nonsense "angle" they can find ?

Good peak.
I wonder when 8 million will be hit again. Could Monday do so?

Just noticed Channel 5s new show Suspects dropped to 0.64m incl +1. I guess Suspects, Relfex and The Taste must be early contenders for biggest turkeys of the year.

Have to say True Detective on Sky Atlantic looks brilliant. First time in ages I can remember feeling like I'm missing out not having Sky.

There was more expectation behind The Taste than there was either of the other two, so looking like the biggest flop of the year at the moment. Still early days though.

Suspects should have been a conventional cop show but it's not and it's proving a turnoff because of that. Nobody is really surprised it's not taking off although fair play to the critics for not just dismissing it because it's on Five and most concluding that it's worth watching. Reflex employed the presenting services of Shane Richie. Enough said I think.

During the 15 minute clash they both had 5.54m. Glad EE managed to stay above 7m, just, it won't next week though since it won't have the extra half hour to make up for the clash.”

Not bad for EE there. The early start looks like it hurt ED.

Horses for courses then. I gave up after 30 minutes - it was mind-numbingly tedious to me. Clearly our tastes differ! :

Tossing up whether or not to chuck a fiver at this Now TV for a month.

I don't really like Sky or what they stand for, but content rules and they have the content. Nothing for me tomorrow night on the main channels.

House of Cards on Netflix is great too, they just uploaded season 2 the other week.

Indeed and with Celebrity Juice returning with 1.5m an excellent night for ITV2. It would be nice to see the ratings for the rest of their evening line-up, i.e. Ice Age, Fake Reaction. CJ was a real gem last night, hilarious.

I suspect ITV may push Two and a Half Men either earlier or scrap it altogether, as it just pulls down everything.

Yes, that's on the watch list as well. Need to set aside a whole afternoon/evening for that one.

Thanks to the idiots who posted unmasked spoilers about soaps within a ratings thread.

Can I suggest in future that these things are discussed in the soap thread for those of us who don't want it spoilt for them. Especially as some of you are too stupid to mask it properly.

A peak of 1.95m/27.2% for the British curlers' bronze medal victory yesterday. Perhaps slightly on the low side. Hopefully the men's final does far better this afternoon.

Decent showing for it last night.
SUSPECTS dropped even lower. A massive turkey with only 0.64mill including +1.

Meanwhile Channel 4 had a solid night:
Supersize v Superskinny 1.6 mill
Big Ballet up to 1.1 mill
Bodyshockera 1.6 mill

E4s comedies also had a decent showing last night. Surprised Big Reunion jumped that much

Since when was nothing above 2m and only 1.1m at 9pm a solid night? Sounds like a pretty terrible night to me. Only Bodyshockers at 10pm comes away from that respectably.

1.6 mill at 8 and 10 is nothing to be laughed at these days. And Big Ballet was under 1 million last week.
