No clash as BGT starts on the 12th.
Thanks. Good news for The Voice if that guesstimate schedule for it is correct.

Why do people here want more live and longer editions of the Voice when it's shown viewers get turned off by That?

Really suprised to see Ant and Dec being praised on here barely 2 minutes after their show ended. I really could not have predicted that.

It's started already. It's getting tedious. That's why I hardly post in here now. What's started?

"Oh, ITV's SNT show tonight was wonderful! Wasn't Ant and Dec absolutely wonderful? It is so funny!"

"Oh people watch SNT over The Voice because (Brekkie) "people like entertainment".

I am bored with all the "my show is better than your show" rubbish. I couldn't care less what show wins in the ratings tomorrow. I thought The Voice was a really good show tonight. I am watching SNT on Sky+ and that is a good show too. I wouldn't call it really funny though. I'm not a fan of live staged sketches but that doesn't mean I'm not enjoying it.

I can't believe how many people were "swooning" after Ant and Dec literally two minutes after SNT ended. I can't actually take this thread seriously anymore. It's like conkers but on the internet.

About as predictable as the mass BBC fans falling all over themselves praising The Voice instantly on its return.

What's your problem with people praising Ant and Dec for SNT? When Strictly's on you didn't have a problem? I wonder why you've said this?

About as predictable as you and others slagging off The Voice yet insisting The X-Factor is "amazing entertainment".

Well when TVUK returned this exact same thing happened as well, did you have a problem with that?

And vice-versa

I haven't slagged off TVUK tonight at all

But really was is the point in all this, its just hiding behind a front when really its obvious which channel we prefer. Its just pointless, some like a programme they praise it. Why get so worked up?

Perhaps not tonight, but you have, and I don't care whether people like it or not. But to see grown adults going all goo-goo and gaa-gaa over Ant and Dec is baffling. It really isn't the same as looking forward and getting into SCD, I don't know why you used that as a comparison.

There is also nothing wrong at all with enjoying SNT. I am enjoying it myself. But it's like reading the cover of a schoolgirls English exercise book where it is covered with "I Heart Ant and Dec!"

I have never ever praised The Voice in a fashion that was practically orgasmic. I have also never overtly slagged The X-Factor off either, only Simon Cowell.

Its trying to answer the unanswerable question - how to satisfactorily deal with The Voice after the auditions stage. Personally I reckon the whole end game is riddled with flaws. The battles are a screeching competition and result in half of the team being "screeched out" not long after the joy of actually being picked in the first place. Then the coaches can fast track a contestant to the lives which must surely send out a hugely negative message to their remaining team. There is more....

...but overall -let the public decide at the earliest opportunity. There should be no guarantees for coaches on fast tracking - the process seems too contrived and the public lose interest. Live shows over a week like BGT or Fri/Sat/Sun to whittle the numbers down by viewer choice.

But why, when SCD is on this forum is full of praising of Strictly (just like Takeaway is cosy entertainment)(and that's fine)and slagging off XF, but when ITV have a good show the praise is put down to one-up-man-ship on another programme.

They are the best entertainers in the business, and that proved by their NTA win.

Great post by Chris. Can't disagree with any of those points.

On a less savoury note. Are people looking to be offended this evening? I've seen nothing bad unless you count Brekkies remark (which I took as sarcasm)

Come on! You are at the front of the queue in toy thrwing from prams in the Autumn. You do nothing but praise The X-Factor and you have also criticised SCD at the same time.

I think you'll find I have not slagged off SNT. I have said that I am enjoying it. But, my dismay is at the instant swooning of Ant and Dec, as if they are the most important people in the world.

Ive been complimentary of SNT so far. I appreciate it is very well liked by its audience and that it may well win the ratings tomorrow. I have not criticised it nor have I categorically said that the Voice is a better show than it. I understand the Voice is the underdog as Ant & Dec are currently on form so we shall see what happens tomorrow.

Yep your completely right... and hence why I think we need more live shows that the public interact with, "The Voice" takes away much of the viewer choice by holding only 3 live productions. I think its an excellent idea to follow the "Britians Got Talent" format and scheduling once the blind auditions are over. A good idea.

And I'm just a humble Turnip farmer. Turnips, turnips and yet more turnips.

I grow Purple Top Milan turnips, Manchester Market turnips, Tokyo Turnips, Golden Ball turnips, Snow Ball turnips and Green Globe turnips.

BUT For Christ sake don't confuse them with the Swede's I grow right next door that include the Airlie Swede the Kenmor Swede the Marian Swede and the Ruta Otofte Swede.

Oh their are some great swede's in their but if you feel like picking them for gods sake be careful because after a night on the 2009 sauvignon blanc I accidentally planted some Rutabaga seed in amongst the swede. They include the American Purple Top Rutabaga and the Champion Purple Top Rutabaga and the Collet Vert Rutabaga and the Joan Rutabaga which is most certainly not to be confused with the Laurentian Rutabaga or the Nadmorska Rutabaga or even the Swede Østgota Rutabaga and the Wilhelmsburger Rutabaga.

I hope that cleared up the confusion and that this post defused the tension between people in this thread, I have plenty of Turnips, swede's and rutabagas to go around.

I think people are allowed to praise shows they've just watched as long as it's not too off topic and doesn't go too over the top. After SNT ended there were two posts praising it and neither of them even mentioned any rival programmes - hardly spamming the thread out!

After the auditions the whole thing is perfectly watchable but there are many flaws as you've stated. I think the format would be much better if they stopped the whole teams competing within themselves thing in the lives - open the field up a bit. As it stands every coach gets one act in the final regardless which isn't very exciting. Part of the reason The X Factor thrived was because the judges were rivals.

Yes I admit that, I prefer XF - nothing wrong in that.

I know I keep bringing up Strictly, but this is exactly what happens every Autumn - Strictly is praised as soon as and during the programme - why the highlight the praise for SNT tonight?

Anyway lets halt this discussion as its pointless, waste of time.

Ant & Dec are good at what they do. I think Takeaway is their best show. I also liked it when it was Noel's House Party!
