Dont forget the timeshifting audience for "The Voice" though. These are just overnight figures. "The Voice" was only behind "Coronation Street" and "Call The Midwife" so its doing really well I would say in terms of popularity.

I'd say so. I was just saying that it's an abrupt change for Samuel to predict SNT to win when he was saying The Voice is as big as The X Factor just last week.

7.99m, 35.3% for the 6th episode last year.

With the rugby back next week The Voice would usually have recovered from this weeks dip. So I think it will rate high enough that Takeaway won't be able to match it, even if Takeaway does do well compared to last year. The Cube certainly won't give much of a lead-in.

I think there is a possibility if The Voice is down a bit and Takeaway does particularly well that we might end up with a +1 win for Takeaway which would be fun on here!

The situation may change in the next few weeks when they go into the battle rounds, lives and the rugby finishes. Then The Voice will start to fall and providing Takeaway holds up then it will

Thanks, amazingly similar overnights, BBC must be delighted with that.

Thanks DMN.

BBC1 doing very well overall on Saturday nights with The Voice helping to lift shows after it. Must be the best BBC1 has done on Saturday nights in years.

Blimey. I know Reflex is bad - and deserves to flop - but that is an undisputed disaster.

So the final of Splash! rates lower than a repeat of Pointless Celebrities that was on against a big FA Cup match and the umpteenth showing of an episode of Mrs Brown's Boys in a 10.10pm slot.

BBC1 might as well just give their entire comedy budget to Brendan O'Carroll and tell him to make 26 episodes of Mrs Brown that they can show on a continuous loop.

I think BBC One should probably air Pointless in that slot most of the year round as it would provide a good early evening audience [4m+] to peak time, it'd be cheap to produce all those episodes too, and save all that hassle making new shows which end up flopping like Reflex and Secret Service.”

BBC1 have just commissioned 24 episodes of Pointless Celebrities alongside 3 x 60-part regular series, but I'm not sure what period of time that commission is over.

Itv never learn. People wont suddenly switch over to Itv breakfast program just because Susannah Reid is on it. People are loyal to Breakfast primarily due to its format and content. Breakfast has had changes in its presenting lineup over the last few years and yet still has held up strong. The oap mass audience will never switch from Breakfast to Daybreak, it just isnt going to happen. Susanna Reid's move to Itv is career suicide for her and wont end well.

But it had greater competition than a z lister diving show. I do think that there will be a few concerned heads in the BBC next week. They will be anxious that it doesn't fall below 7 million before the expected dip of the battle rounds. They have put everything in place to improve it this year....january start with weak competition on other channels, Kylie and the other guy, 2 new presenters. I think the rugby will hold it up next week. It is a big game.

She is one of the more intelligent female presenters on TV. Fluffy good looking entertainment presenters are easy to find. I think they have made a mistake not offering her more work on BBC. She wasn't even used on the One Show when the other female preaenter was off.

Well this source says ITV wants to go more highbrow so never say never. Won't happen overnight though.
