Fox do appear to be trying at least, having a little success with Sleepy Hollow but nothing else and even American Idol is down in the low 2's already. Not a pretty picture except for Sunday Animation really.”

Kevin Reilly needs an incredible development slate.
For ABC, I'd say Scandal does well for them. And The Bachelor has put in some good shifts this week against The Voice. Shark Tank and The Middle are quiet performers in their slots. But ABC have all the same problems they've had for years - DWTS is no longer a tentpole series, Sundays are a shambles and the few promising sparks of new series in 2011/12 have died there. Tuesdays are a mess too despite a big renovation this year. They still don't have strong companions for The Middle and Modern Family on Wednesday nights, despite 5 years of trying now. Thursdays at 8pm haven't played host to a returning series since Ugly Betty moved in 2009.”
You're both right.
How could I forget Scandal? Another bright spot for ABC. Is Once Upon A Time getting increased competition on Sundays now? It started brightly but ratings have dipped and the spin off Wonderland never took off.
ABC really need Rising Star to take off so they can use it to launch some shows after it like NBC has done with The Voice/The Blacklist.
