I am not sure that is even possible without ordering a BT Youview box as well.

What do you mean by '...if I ring bt to activate my box...'?
I don't think there is any way to get your box 'activated' without signing up to BTTV and if you sign up to BTTV then you will be supplied with a new free BT Youview box. The BT box is made by Humax and is better than the TT box anyway so sell yours on eBay and it will pay for the BT 'installation' charge. |

Brendonchanning did you ever activate TV im considering joining as i can save some money compared to sky the TV channels i watch are available via BT, I already have a TT branded YV box my self that my mum uses i was thinking if i order it and use the BT branded one my self and use the TT one as multi room box if its possible to receive the channels, i know people who have done this with a BT and a retail box but no one with a TT box
