They did mark him down for that - they said he was giving it too much and it became messy.
Her first great skate since week one and she's unceremoniously dumped out via the Team twist and an admittedly erroneous skate off. Another challenger to the Ray/Hayley domination bites the dust.

I really didn't expect that at all but Suzanne seemed tense and the mistakes were obvious. As she's said, maybe it's because she hasn't been in the skate off before? It's a shame because some of her routines have been great whereas Kyran's are repetitive (that lift where he twirls her upside down has been repeated so many times!) Although mistakes in a skate off should be punished, and it's only fair to make Suzanne go if other people have had to go for similar mistakes.
Next week it'll hopefully be Sam vs. Kyran in the skate off...

Oh dear. Thats the end of the competition. On their own narrative, they have pointed out why Hayley and Beth can't compete with Ray on difficulty or performance respectively. Sam and Kyran obviously can't. Suzanne with the right routine and a big move was about the only hope they had.
These twists knocking out the better skaters are what killed DOI in the first place. Suzanne should've been in the final three.

Except they haven't. Mistakes in the skate-off haven't changed a result since like Series 5.
Bittersweet for me tonight.
Coming into the series, I was 100% behind Suzanne. In fact, I didn't want her to take part because it would taint her first series - and I think it did. Not necessarily her fault though, apart from her week one routine (and tonight) she's been treated awfully.
However, the way they've treated Beth is also awful, and I'm just glad she got through tonight and the plan backfired on them.

I watched it tonight and haven't watched a full episode in ages. I thought that Suzanne looked very anxious when they were announcing the names for the skate off. I don't think that she practised it enough to be honest and that is why she messed it up. The show wasn't too bad tonight. Enjoyed the girls v boys and thought that Christine and Jane looked lovely in their dresses
I'm gutted to see Suzanne go but I do feel it was the right result in the skate off. I admire her for putting in the big tricks which could've went wrong but I'm sad to see her go.
They've only got themselves to blame for that result

I've come to the conclusion, the other way the overrated Kyran will get eliminated is if he's in a skate off with Ray!

Its decided by the twist almost certainly. Beth beats Suzanne, and all but one of probably hayley and Ray in the vote, but thats still consistent with Suzanne coming third. So you lose someone who came second on the scoreboard pre twist and possibly third in the vote.
Ironically, suzanne is undone by adding difficulty to Music - the old, easier headbanger exit might have been enough....
