LG HR939M PVR - incomplete recordings
Hi. My father-in-law has an LG HR939M PVR. He's generally happy with it (although the on-screen display text is minuscule on a 28-inch screen), but a real annoyance is the way that it misses the end of recorded programmes. It always starts on time, but it tends to stop recording before the programme's finished. Quite annoying in a crime drama if not all the loose ends have been tied up!
Does anyone have any ideas why this might be happening and, even better, how to solve the problem? |

Usually you can add a certain amount of time before and after to every recording
ALWAYS do a manual recording for football with extra time and penalties !!!!!!!!!!!! |

Clearly that's an option, but a lot of extra time and effort when the PVR is supposed to do it automatically like my Humax does. I still think the LG's not performing as it should.
However you sometimes lose the Accurate Record function doing this. This tracks changes in the EPG to accommodate any delays starting the programme for example. With padding enabled you often get the recorder starting at the set start time whether or not the programme actually starts at the scheduled time. I had a quick scan of the manual for this recorder and couldn't immediately see any option to set automatic padding. |
