Hayley and Beth are my two favourites, I know Hayley isnt the strongest skater but I would much rather watch her performances than Ray's. Theres just something I dont like about him, it was the same during his series and its just stuck, I dont think i'll ever like him. Sure he is a great skater but I dont enjoy watching him.

I would love to see Beth win.

As for desperation to win, that's just the usual bitchiness I'd expect from this forum. Hayley comes across as a nice girl, enjoying herself who'd love to win, but whatever nasty way you want to look at it. ..

Good to see somebody sticking up for Hayley. I think it's fair enough to say she's not the strongest skater left but she gets so much unnecessary stick on here.

For me Suzanne was miles better than Hayley and Beth.

She appears to be a nice person who smiles a lot and certainly don't dislike her. However, IMO her non-skating does let her down a bit and the fact that the judges never comment on that is a bit unfair on the others. The judges go on about how skating should complement performance, and performance to compliment skating doesn't appear to apply to Hayley but does to Beth as far as the judges are concerned. And that is why Beth will always be more popular than Hayley because the voting public see through it.

Agreed. The hate on this forum is surreal - it just makes me want her to reach the final. It's not her fault she gets given the scores she does...blame the judges for that. As for Beth being more popular, I'm guessing it will be Hayley that finishes runner up behind Ray with Beth third, although if Beth is ever in that SO then she's out.

I think they all seem nice enough and I don't have a favourite out of any of the girls. The performances I enjoy most are the ones in which the couple actually dance together on the ice, rather than perform a series of tricks and feats of strength to which the music is - at best - incidental.
That's why I like Ray most and really enjoyed Sam's performance this week. Hayley is great at communicating enthusiasm and her best performance - Jai Ho - was great fun, but there's often a bit too much toe-pick dancing going on, which isn't the same as skating. And Beth is, as you'd expect, brilliantly agile but again, not so much of a dancer.
It's not a great surprise that Ray outdances them - he had dance training as a child and won dance contests while at school - but it is a dancing on ice competition and that impresses me a lot more that weightlifting on ice (which is what some of the lifts amount to), acrobatics on ice and insane daredevil stunts on ice (by which I mean that horrible 'headbanger' thing, obviously).
