Toshiba Blu-ray Player BDX5400 Wi-Fi Connection Issue
I understand there are a lot of unhappy Toshiba owners who have bought a Toshiba Wi-Fi enabled Blu-ray Player. Due to firmware updates and unknown issues - Wi-Fi connection is hit and miss.
I have had 4 out of the last 5 days without any streaming capability. All other Wi-Fi devices connected to the network stream flawlessly, the Toshiba sees the network but no longer connects at all. I had a tech guy representing Toshiba spend one hour and he gave up, I have tweeted Toshiba support and they have promised a response. If I find a solution I will post it here. |

Have you tried placing the player somewhere such as outside your AV cabinet under your TV and seeing if the issue with the Wi-Fi signal improves? It could be down to the extreme sensitivity as a result of the supposed fault. Good luck.

Thanks for replying, I have the blu-ray player in a bedroom with my TV, just resting on top of a cabinet. When I scan the strength is 54%, which is a higher percentage than my laptop gets (which connects flawlessly) I did a reset of the player but still a connection fail every time. I bought he player from John Lewis so I am going to return and try get a replacement, if that has the same issue I will change for a different brand.
