That's one of those Peter Capaldi moments. One of those actors I'd never have thought of, but the second I hear it, I get very excited. "The Smiley Master." That could work.

Personally I'd rather see John Simm back, though I agree Smiley would be smashing as the Master.

I'm not seeing it tbh. Not that I definitely think he's incapable, but I've never seen a performance from him that would lead me to believe he's a good fit for such an iconic villain.
