I'm thinking of getting a bluetooth speaker so I can play music from my Macbook Pro when I'm in the kitchen or out in my wooden cabin in the garden.

In my living room I Airplay to my Denon AV receiver - but I need something for the kitchen and when I'm practicing guitar in the garden.

I thought of getting an extra Airplay speaker - but I think they may be more expensive and I notice a delay on audio when I airplay YouTubes through the Denon - which is a bit annoying if I'm watching a guitar tutorial. So I'm hoping a Bluetooth will be a bit cheaper and not have the annoying delay.

So I've been looking at the Sony SRS-BTV25 and the Cambridge Audio Minx Go

I'd appreciate any advice about my thinking and choice of speakers.

Thanks

Ah well - not to worry - thanks to those who had a read anyway.

I shall now go and order the Cambridge ... because it looks more like a speaker!

edit: done

Thanks. It arrived today - very prompt - doodle to set up and sounds excellent. I spent the afternoon listening to Sun Structures and playing The Mushroom Eaters.

Well done and glad you found the right one, I guess the blutooth speaker techies are very few on this forum.

Aiui Cambridge Audio make very few if any true lemons so they are probably a safe ish bet if you find yourself making a decision on brand name alone.

I've seen a few BT speakers recently. Some of them were pretty good sound wise but they do suffer from a slight delay due to the processing so syncing with a video would be a problem.
