Does anyone do this or am I strange? I can't help be tempted by half price Cadburys Easter eggs in Tesco and have a bit of one with a cup of tea. In fact I'd like to be able to buy them all year round.

You could always make your own. Seriously. Just melt a bar of Dairy Milk or whatever, pour it into an Easter egg mould (Amazon), chill, put a fun-size bar or two in the middle, melt edges and seal, wrap in coloured foil. Simples. Well, obviously not as simple as buying it ready-made, but it's the exact same thing.

Easter eggs are usually only better value than buying a bar after Easter, when they're trying to get rid of surplus stock.

My local Aldi cleared the Christmas shelves in the new year and began displaying an ever-growing army of Easter eggs and bunnies. They appear to be selling well enough.

They're at the end of the isle, by the tills, so I think they're just an expanded version of that trick to put things by the till to catch the eyes of bored kids in the queues. They see the pretty, sparkly bunny and want one, without any thought of Easter.

Yep I do it... £1.50 for an easter egg and 4 mini flake bars. That's a lot of yumminess for your money.

When my children were small we used Easter eggs as a maths project. In the supermarket they wrote down the weight of Easter eggs and fillers then the weight of chocolate bars and similar fillers and we then gave them a fixed budget and asked what they wanted...chocolate bars won hands down

Buying Easter Eggs before Easter is genius. The best strategy is to wait until the mass offers start and buy then. Waiting after Easter is Eggacide because the supermarkets only stock enough to completely sell out before the big day.

I personally do not follow rules and regulations so I encourage people to be creative and enjoy easter eggs in their full glory. The real fun is buying eggs you havn't tried before.

NNnnooooo! its not allowed

As a child I was never permitted to touch my Easter Eggs until Easter and it was so drummed into me that I don't do it even now Lol if I did I would feel guilty - think I have been brain-washed

I've done it a few times. I'm addicted to Cadburys Mini Eggs but I don't think they count
