The Viz...
... last seen by me around 1993.
Used to bloody love the regional sattire! What with the 'Fat Slags ' (Manchester I think), 'Big Vern' - (London), and not forgetting 'Sid the Sexist' - Newcastle (My realm, NE England). Will pick it all back up again... just hope it is still as hilarious as I recall! Cyrus Last edited by Cyrus1967 : 20-02-2014 at 01:35. Reason: Gaps... |

Saw a man of about 55 reading it on the station platform this morning. I felt embarrassed for him.

I love VIZ !
I have been reading it since the 80's (I'm 50 now), and I still have all of them, and I revisit them regularly ![]() By the way, it's called "VIZ" or "VIZ comic". It's never been called "THE viz" |

I would still be buying every issue if it wasn't for the stupid price. I'm sure it would earn them far more money if they lowered it to about £1.50

I also think £3.20 per issue is overpriced so now I just buy the Annual every year. Much better value for money, especially when bought at a discounted price online.

I bought the first couple of annuals, but it seemed to me that the funniest strips weren't included.
Different people find different things funny ![]() I love the slapstick violence of Tinribs hilarious ! Mr Snodworthy has all manner of things done to him and in the next frame he is perfectly intact !

I remember " thieving gypsy bastards" that was the funniest comic strip ive ever read and it was sooooooo true
![]() Got taken off after a few editions and they had to make an apology of some sort ....it being racist ....well funny imo. Ive got a few annuals and my fave part is the letters page ![]() just found a strip.......must admit not as funny as first time round....as is most humour........ http://pigeonsnest.co.uk/stuff/thiev...-bastards.html |

I love viz. Have done for many years. A highlight of this month is the revelation that Richard from 'Keeping up appearances' was Pamela Anderson's first choice for her sex tape

I'll never forget the Readers Tips page.
Ladies, don't throw away your used tampons. Simply dip them in glitter and hang them from your Christmas Tree, for inexpensive but effective decorations! I laughed at that for years

I've just checked their website and there's a Scrooby Poo sketch.
