How to find out what app' generates a notification?
Just something that's been bugging me for a week or so....
I have THIS weather widget installed on my Android tablet and it generates a notification (presumably every time it updates) which says stuff like "4° and cloudy". Over the last week or so I've noticed another weather notification appearing as well and that one says summat like "44° and cloudy". Thing is, the fact that this new notification seems to be providing the temperature in fahrenheit, rather than centigrade, suggests it's coming from a different app' cos the weather widget I've installed should be providing info' in metric. So, just wondering if there's any way to determine what app' is generating a notification so I can decide whether or not there's a good reason to keep it or whether I can delete it. As far as I'm aware, there aren't any other weather-type app's on the tablet so I've got no idea where the notifications are coming from. |

well you can temporarily disable notifications by app using the App manager settings, so turn it off for the weather app and check if the funny notification is still generated.
I don't off hand know of a way to pinpoint which app sends which notification, though there is a long-winded way installing the Desktop Notifications app, which will track everything that creates a notification, but its not really what its designed to do... https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...fication&hl=en screenshot: https://lh6.ggpht.com/99J9vw8tBNaJDy...sg8S4N=h900-rw |

Depends on the version of Android, I think, but on newer versions you can long-press on the notification to get an "app info" button, which in turn will lead to the app info page for whichever app sent the notification.
