'Blink' is technically the best but my personal favourite is probably 'Midnight'.
It's a very hit and miss era for me. Others I particularly enjoyed are 'Silence in the Library', 'The Unicorn and the Wasp' and 'Love & Monsters'. |

For me Gridlock.
I like the scene where Martha makes the Doctor tell her about Gallifrey. Also the death of Boe is a good scene |

I went with Human Nature/Family of Blood. He had to play out of his element for the majority of the episodes and then once the Doctor was restored was able to deal with the Family as the Doctor.

Blink or Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead. I'll decide who to vote for when it's clear which of them needs my vote the most.

What I like about Tennant's stories is that there is a huge variety in them and also in the standard of stories as well.
I would say bottom of the pile for me are stories like Love and Monsters, Fear Her, most of the 2009 Specials. Then there's the ok-to-watch stories like Daleks in Manhattan, Gridlock, New Earth and then there's really enjoyable ones like the first half of Series 2, Turn Left, Midnight, The Unicorn and The Wasp. Then there's the real amazing Episodes like Blink, Human Nature/Family Of Blood, Stolen Earth/Journey's End and off course my personal fave, Army Of Ghosts/Doomsday.

I couldn't pick a favourite. There are far too many. At best I could narrow it down to...
The Christmas Invasion The Satan Pit Love and Monsters Gridlock Family of Blood Blink Utopia The Sound of Drums Silence/Forest The Waters of Mars and special mention for Time Crash as such I haven't voted. |

Shouldn't The Day of The Doctor be listed on the poll? Apologies if I've got that wrong. Only, 10 accosting the rabbit in the forest is my favourite scene he's in!

I voted for "The Waters of Mars" although I also really like the various Doctor/Donna episodes along with "The Next Doctor", "The Voyage of the Damned", "42" and others.

Sorry but I did not include The Day of the Doctor because that is a part of Elevens era. Eleven is the main Doctor in that story and as such it belongs in the Matt Smith poll.

Really hard, this one. After the Pertwee era, this is my favourite era of the show and there were very few eps I didn't like. Went for The Girl In The Fireplace, though.

A toughie. Between Gridlock and Turn Left, the latter largely because I think it's the best performance by a companion in the show's history. To quote 10cc..."Oohh, Donna."
Er...going with Gridlock. Offbeat, rather beautiful and Tennant at his best. |

Girl in the Fireplace for me. A lovely story.
Human Nature and Blink were also great and I have a soft spot for School Reunion and the Doctor's Daughter. |

Very, very hard but for positive reasons as there were so many episodes that I can watch over and over. Went for "Human Nature" in the end, partly because you can believe that John Smith and the Doctor are different individuals; the same in the change in Harry Lloyd from complete twerp to 'Son-of-Mine'. Then it was expertly set, the supporting characters were interesting and had relevance and meaning to the story. I know the ending (the vengeance) jarred with some, but for me it was again a brilliant contrast to see the Doctor taking action.

Stolen earth/journey's end. A wonderfully intricate yet easy to understand plot, carefully woven throughout series 4, and also encapsulating the best element's of all 4 year's that came before it, that combined to make a story that was bold, epic, happy, sad, funny, and exciting.

David Tennant's era of the show is like Tom Baker's from the classic series for me, so many to choose from even picking my favourite from each individual series usually taxes me quite hard. I went for Human Nature/The Family of Blood, just seeing the Doctor as a human, the chameleon arch, the school surroundings, the Journal of Impossible Things. I just love it all. It just sneaks in ahead of so many good stories such as Blink, The Army of Ghosts/Doomsday, The Girl in the Fireplace, Turn Left and countless more.

It's quite a fun little romp if you don't take it too seriously.
I didn't vote for it though. I went with Silence in the Library. When the first expedition member gets it, and you hear his memory chip run out, that is honestly some of the creepiest OMG crap I've seen on TV in years. It was a very VERY close call though with Family of Blood and Midnight. I'd forgotten how good Family of Blood was. I loved the scene at the end. That sent a chill up the old spine. "Fury of a Timelord" indeed. Midnight is just something else entirely. It's more like a proper Science Fiction Play for Today than an episode of Doctor Who. It's in the same class as Torchwood's Children of Earth. I also love Gridlock and even Partners in Crime (tell me you don't smile at the 'Window scene'). Also blown away by the last 10 minutes of Utopia, but that isn't really a Tennant thing ![]() I didn't rate Journey's End too highly. Nice build-up, but the ending sucked. |

Thought it was terrible 'sketch show comedy' that Tate is [in]famous for. Liked her much more in the dramatic scenes, where I thought she acted the arse off Tennant many times (but that's another story). Prefer my laughs in Doctor Who to come from humorous dialogue and to be far more subtle...a Moffat speciality.
