That will be because it's a local TV station for Grimsby...

You'd have though they'd have made an effort now it's being picked up in hull to cover what's going on north of the river....

No channel 240 on my device, so assume not available to all. (Pontop Pike) 239 is the last channel in the 200s that my TV is seeing.

Did a retune and I don't seem to be picking up the local MUX from Craigkelly. I will try again this evening when I get in from work.

Changes to the Freeview line-up usually occur between 10:30am and 12:00.

(Emley Moor) Test Card now on 240 saying "Coming soon"
If this is live by 1930 then an evening of Daytona Nationwide and Trucks will be heavenly!!!

Hannington was showing a picture about 30 minutes ago, now the test card.

Well both Bonanza and the test card are broadcasting from Craigkelly, though maybe it helps that I'm right under the mast

Also, MotorsTV coming in nice and clear, will watch it more today just to see if the complaints about picture quality are justified.

Just caught about 15 minutes of some sort of dirt track race, with the usual ceaseless yammering American presenters. PQ not good but just about watchable in short bursts.
Programmes seem to have finished for now. (1530hrs.) Humax2000T/Winter Hill.

Just checked and I have it from Wenvoe but unfortunately my TV won't allow me to watch.

It seems to work and picture quality isn't bad. Shame more channels don't adopt this route to broadcast as it's quoted as been really low cost compared to other methods.

I'm also surprised freeview are not plugging it as this channel is a big name launch really for freeview tv.

At the moment his channels is "Subscription free" via the Internet on Freeview according to the web site. So I am surprised there is no other way to watch it on the web site for those who don't have the correct Freeview box. Its not included with my Virgin Media TV package.

Im from the Dunfermline area. A mile or so south of the town centre and have just done yet another retune of my Youview box and the Samsung TV in my bedroom and im still not picking up the local MUX from Craigkelly.
I know 40% of the houses in my area still have there TV aerials pointing towards Black Hill 35 miles or so away. As that was the strongest signal in the area before digital switchover and some have not bothered to move there aerials to Craigkelly.

The picture on Freesat from Sky is rather poor too - very soft and rather blocky Shame as they have some good stuff on there at times.

Shame I can't add the streams to TVHeadend to use without a compatible box - this is the first one that looks to be worth the effort!

I have a Panasonic DMR-HW100 set top box. Why am I able to stream some channels and not any of the new ones? What streaming methods are they employing that make my box incompatible?

That model predates the introduction of Connect TV, so not too surprising that it doesn't work correctly. Some manufacturers have supported older boxes through updates to make it work, but I think only the TVonics boxes have been supported throughout with the latest changes.

As the list at a516 digital is not complete, perhaps we could produce our own list of product supported and not, I'll start with those I have access too and those listed on this thread:

Supported Connect TV
Bush B320HDPVR (yes I know it on the list)
DigitalStream DHR-8203U and DHR-8205U and presumably DHR-8206U as it only a HDD size difference
Humax HDR-2000T

Not supported Connect TV:
Huawei DN370T Youview box
Panasonic DMR-HW100

Are you sure? That's not on the VuTV whitelist of devices and VuTV state that YouView boxes do not support the streaming technology associated with MHEG-IC.

Apologises, you are correct, confused it with another channel. Edited my post above to correct it.

Should I be able to see this channel? I'm on Winter Hill and I have a Freeview HD box. I can see a placeholder for Connect TV, saying coming soon.

Not being able to pause or record this type of programme is irritating.

I have a sony HD EDL32ex403 TV, I also have a YouView HD box both connected to the internet. Both say your device is incompatible with this service (Motors or any of the EPG listed internet broadcasters).. Why do broadcasters do this and what is so special that makes it is incompatible?

Ok, I have a new Panasonic DMR-HWT230EB purchased only two weeks ago. Surely this model doesn't predate the introduction of Connect TV?

Was looking forward to receiving Motors TV but it won't work on mine!
