Sony have said that although PS Move will be the best way to play certain VR games, all games will still be playable with standard DualShock 4 controllers.
This has caused mixed feelings within the community. Some gamers say it's great that Sony are offering is a choice and aren't forcing additional purchases on buyers that want to limit their expenditure. Meanwhile, others believe this will limit the scope of developers that are fully behind making motion controlled games and it isn't Sony's place to make the decision in the first place. Thoughts? |

Update to the above. Sony have now said...
"Nearly all PlayStation VR titles will support DualShock 4 controllers, and several games will deliver an enhanced experience that further immerses gamers with the use of peripherals such as Move or the recently announced Aim controller. There will be a limited number of titles that require Move controllers." Problem solved I guess. |

I have a few questions which for some reason no amount of searching on Google has managed to answer...
Is Elite Dangerous due any time soon for PS4, and if so will it be VR optimised? Does the headset work as a personal movie screen? I am really looking forward to watching 3d movies on a headset but have seen conflicting reports as to whether this will be possible with PSVR... Will there be any advantage to having a PS4.5(Neo) when it comes to PSVR? Im not averse to upgrading as the kids can have my original PS4 but don't want to throw money away when it is not required. Are there any recommended websites that give the latest info on PSVR? Anyone who is better at performing searches will hopefully have the answers to the above! |

The headset does work as a personal screen, both for regular games and media content. Sony would be mad not to support 3D Blu-ray in this way, but I've seen no specific confirmation that this is happening. PS4Neo could help PSVR in a number of ways. Native resolutions may be higher, it could support native 120fps rather than using 60 to 120fps Reprojection, games may feature improved smoke / shadow / particle / lighting effects. The actual gameplay experience will be pretty much identical though. There isn't really any one place to go for information at the moment. I do have a Twitter and Facebook account where I collate any information I find on PlayStation VR. Feel free to check it out. https://twitter.com/ps4vrnews https://www.facebook.com/PS4-VR-News-933099600116438/ I am also starting work on a blog/website which can act as a more permanent and detailed resource. |

Rise Of The Tomb Raider will have PSVR support.
From Push Square - The headline addition is a new story chapter, 'Blood Ties' – which will be playable using PlayStation VR if you so choose. "When Lara's uncle contests ownership of the Manor, Lara must explore the estate to find proof that she is the rightful heir, or lose her birthright and father's secrets for good," the press release reads. |

It's going to be a bit awkward using a DS4 in each hand instead of two Move controllers for games that are designed that way.
Meanwhile, Sony have also said that even London Heist (a game that has exclusively been shown with PS Move) is playable with just a single standard DS4. What they need to do is offer gamers choices without imposing rules that limit the scope of developers. Hopefully they've got that right now. |

Cool. Another game with tacked on VR support. And that might sound like a bad thing, but I didn't mean it like that. I like that a lot off AAA are giving us a slice of their games in VR.
Firstly, big names (Star Wars, Final Fantasy, Tomb Raider) will raise the profile of VR. Secondly, that additional interest should hopefully encourage big publishers to invest fully in the format. It's good news for VR owners too, as they get "free" bonus features when buying regular PS4 games. Hopefully it's good news all round. |

When using the Virtual Cinema made you will have a choice what size screen you would like to see, the choices being the equivalent of 117, 163 or 226 inches. |

New video from PlayStation Hong Kong is pretty intense. Also features some new games developed in the Far East that were recently announced at ChinaJoy expo.
http://youtu.be/0nrYWgDItXQ Also, some new screen shots for DRIVECLUB VR confirm the update is still on the way and lined up for day one. https://twitter.com/ps4vrnews/status/758961333471555584 |

PlayStation VR's release date has been confirmed as October 13, 2016, and it will retail for $399. Sony has not said whether DriveClub VR will be a PlayStation VR launch title in other territories
Definitely a launch title in Japan but is definitely over here ?

The Japanese blog has since been removed. Seems they jumped the gun and published early, which would explain why we haven't heard anything locally yet. Rushy has confirmed the VR version was completed by the original Driveclub team. |

Anyone have any idea how long the cables will be - i sit about 10 feet away from my ps4 and whilst i don't mind having the link box in the middle of the room i don't want to have to actually sit any closer to my ps4 than i do already...

Ubisoft have announced release dates for their VR games.
Eagle Flight - Nov 8 (digital) Nov 15 (retail) Trackmania Turbo (free VR patch) - Nov 8 Star Trek Bridge Crew - Nov 29 Werewolves Within - Dec 6 And a very promising article on Driveclub VR, and how it changes the way we play. Can't wait to get my hands on this. http://www.gamesradar.com/driveclub-...ly-had-to-try/ |
