For people still having nausea issues with DRIVECLUB VR, have you tried different adjustments for the seating position before the race?

I always set it to match my natural driving position (almost all the way back and head just scraping the roof) and have never had an issue.

Other people have said that lowering the camera to show more of the dashboard helps them.

Have a fiddle and see if it helps.

I have tried recalibrating everything again and moving my position to the left to be more in front of the left camera lens and first impressions are that it seems to be helping with the 'drift' issue as suggested above! There is still a small amount but i have just played about 5 minutes of DriveClub and the drifting to the left was pretty minimal, certainly not like it was, hopefully this will be a long-term cure.

Now all i need to do is stop feeling sick during DC!

Yeah. I was going to kick off about that too. But, if you go on to buy a PSVR afterwards you do get that money back. I guess it's just a means of managing numbers and demoing to serious people only The last thing they want is a load of time wasters hogging the system and an employee's time I guess.

With VR, seeing is believing. I've had 2 friends come round and try my PSVR. They are both now desperately hunting down stock.

Anyone know what you can get for trading in PSVR and the new camera at the various places? Im not 100% about getting rid of it yet but am weighing up the options, i think in my case it may be better to get the money and buy a larger tv to play games normally on.

It isn't that i am hating vr but it hasn't lived up to my expectations due to graphical resolution, i normally sit much further away from the tv than i have to with vr so it is a pain to keep moving furniture around in the living room, and i have found that i cannot comfortably wear my glasses so have to put contact lenses in, so the whole experience is a bit of a pain and takes away any chance of just loading a game up for a couple of minutes when i have a spare moment.

This is a bit of a piss take especially if they want to persuade you to buy one.

Yeah. A load of GAME stores have been tweeting about fresh stock this morning, including our local. They are only selling it as bundles starting at £420 though. I guess that's the headset and a pair of Moves.

well i went down to sex and they said they aren't buying any, not surprised they may have surplus stock though as they are selling a second-hand unit for £450!

Went to Game and was initially offered £150 which i said wasn't worth my while to sell it for, so he saw the manager and it went up to £270, which i think was reasonable considering they are selling the unit for its standard £349 in store. They also had a demo unit setup but weren't charging for it...

Cex aren't really allowed to turn down trade ins unless really faulty or stolen. They usually adjust the trade in price, there seems to be a thousand copies of black ops3 in brum store.

I actually don't think it's that bad an idea. My problem is with the offer itself - £15 for 30 minutes isn't actually saving anyone any money over the £5 for 10!

And £15 is a small price to pay indeed compared to £420. If my local GAME store wasn't so incompetent and actually did this it would be OK.

Really?

Farcical price points- hopefully that changes fast.

Should be £20 max for such a short game.

I thought it was a joke when somebody told be it's true! They'll getting slaughtered over it online and rightly so, apparently they're blocking any Twitter followers who criticise it there too. Terrible company. I haven't bought anything from them for over two years and apparently they're not doing too well again financially. Not surprising when they pull dick moves like this.

I might be dreaming here - but is there any chance that the game will have voice activation?

If I can stand on a starship bridge and tell someone to "raise shield and standby phasers" then i'm ordering my VR set now.

I'm not sure about voice activation, but it's playable as a 4 player co-op game. So if you are in the Captain's role that's exactly what's supposed to happen.

The BBC web site is carrying this now as well.

Have been trying various different VR games and so far only Driveclub made me feel a bit iffy. Speed and turns were fine but going up and down the hills gave me an odd cold feeling.

Have bought a copy of Star Wars Battlefront for £12.50 simply to get the VR add on in December.

Have just bought the Arkham VR game, hopefully this will be good. Will try that tonight.

Seems to be a lot of negativity on the web for the PSVR, mainly due to the resolution. Its a 1080p screen but I think that VR is rendered in 4:3 so I think that each eye is seeing only half a 1080p screen.

It makes no sense the way that they are doing it. I think the concept of charging should be made in way of a deposit, in that you pay £10 to 'reserve' a PSVR and book an appointment slot, and then try it out. If it's for you and you like it, then whop, have your shiny new £350 piece of kit, if its not, fine, have your tenner back. That would be a nice way to encourage adoption of it as it's clearly not for everyone and would make Game look a bit more reasonable in that their time isn't being wasted by people not turning up.
