In what part of the above do I state they release new phones at I/O? I clearly state I am hoping for a new phone.

In your head it seems to be ok to attribute things which have not been said.

The ones before that were not consumer products. It is extremely unlikely that a new nexus phone will be at I/O.”

Why would that stop me from hoping it is

Google won't release a new phone only 9 months after the previous one. This is 100% certain.

Either buy the Nexus 5 now, or wait until September/October/November/December this year.

Does make you wonder where the prices for some phones come from, clearly CPW are making money.

well CPW are certainly not selling it as a loss leader, as they made no attempt to sell me any accessories when i bought mine in store.

they've either bought them in huge bulk so can sell them cheaper than what google can (unlikely), they are selling them at a loss (unlikely), or they are getting them at a subsidised price.

Not saying they are am I?

They can't sell them cheaper than google, it is a google phone and brand they will obviously control the flow of these. I see no reason for them to be having some sort of subsidy why would that be?

I am assuming they are taking a hit on these before new releases from MWC, but still imagine they are making a profit. So my point was it does make you wonder what phones could be sold for.

No. It is an O2-exclusive device.

You can find it on Amazon, but not from Amazon themselves. A company called Handtec also sell it. But, you may as well get it from Google Play in that case.

So in that case the o2 shop sells the 32 gig nexus then (on contract of course).
Thanks for your answer

I know and my point was they are still making money (I assume) so does make one wonder what phones could sell for.

As to the exact reasoning why they wish to slash their margin who knows exactly, I am not claiming I do.

I got round that by just picking 500 songs i really liked and not 25,000 that were a bit shite.

Im now on my second N5 after smashing the screen of the first one, most of the XDA problems seemed to be people whining about a rattling power button. I am not sure just who holds a phone near their head and shakes it to get so annoyed by wobbly button but people did. Anyway this second phone is a revised model with the larger holes for the speaker and mic and it has had it the rattle fixed, to be honest i preferred the rattly one, it was easier to operate lol.
